I know it’s slim pickings this year guys and gals. But tradition is tradition, so vote away.

I am torn between BoP and The Old Guard

Gonna say Birds of Prey by process of elimination.

I don't care what people on the internet say I thoroughly enjoyed BOP. Granted, there still aren't many comic-book movies to pick from this year sadly, but between it and The Old Guard I definitely enjoyed it more.

Honestly, BOP is the only one I've seen. (And I still think I might enjoy New Mutants when I get the opportunity to see it.) But I genuinely loved BOP and I think it's a worthy champion even if the competition was less than stellar.

I enjoyed BoP on first viewing, but subsequent ones I find I enjoy it less and less. The action especially takes a hit, HQ and the BoP get attacked by crowds of men at a time, yet they only attack them one by one, it just comes across amateurish.

This is not a great choice. I give it to The New Mutants even though I wasn't overly fond of it.

Had to vote for The Old Guard in the end over BoP for my reasons mentioned above.

TOG just had a better premise, better action, and while I liked the cast in BoP slightly more, TOG had an awesome cast also.

Wow, talk about a Morton's Fork. Normally I'd go "Birds of Prey", but I can't actually forgive that movie for its evisceration of its theoretical title team. That leaves me with. . . I guess The Old Guard. I know basically nothing about it, but that still puts it ahead of the others. *cough*

I’ll get back to you once I see WW84. Which is apparently still releasing this year.

So far it's BOP but I'm still going to see New Mutants and WW84 before the year is out. I'd be highly shocked if WW84 isn't the best superhero film of the year.

BOP for the win, but I'm assuming (and hoping) WW84 will be better once I've seen it.

Well yes WW84 now coming out will obviously change things but feel free to still vote in the poll for now and I will do another one at years end.

I think you can just add to the poll and people can change their vote if you set it up that way no?

Only problem with that is some people may not come back to change their vote. But it’s a good suggestion Erz.

Granted this has been the year from hell, but Birds of Prey was a very admirable movie. The best of the bunch.

I only saw Birds of Prey as the only American comic book movie this year.

Fortunately, there is 2 other comic book based movie (though it is anime movie) that I saw recently in theatre again. Kimetsu no Yaiba/Demon Slayers & STAND BY ME Doraemon 2.

The best of the 3, I will say is STAND BY ME Doraemon 2. My ranking is:

1. STAND BY ME Doraemon 2
2. Birds of Prey
3. Kimetsu no Yaiba / Demon Slayers

I still havent see The New Mutants yet (I am waiting for Bluray..) and I am planning to see Wonder Woman 1984 this Christmas.

The trailer for WW84 is better than any of the above films. So it wins. Just to be clear, the WW84 trailer is better than the entirely of each of the other movies- in fact it's better than all of them put together.

One of the movies listed is crap that I couldn't finish cause all the shaky cam shots left me badly disoriented (Bloodshot), and the rest look really really really uninteresting to me.

I should try that anime, but I feel too lazy right now.

Any My Hero Academia film. Do those even count? If not then I guess BoP. Didn't realize this year was so...dry.

I give MHA *major* points for doing a Superman homage, that instead of going the usual deconstructive route, or the usual Anime Mentor Death Clock route, did something both different and awesome.

Wonder Woman 1984 being the best CBM of 2020 is what I call the easiest lay up for this genre in years.

After watching WW84, I’ll cop-out and say Man Of Tomorrow. In terms of live-action, It’s probably a close tie between Birds Of Prey and WW84 but I’ll give the slight edge to Birds Of Prey. WW84 is a movie I admire, but it’s really not a great movie by a long shot and there’s just too many issues for me to really get behind it. Still a fun time.
