Best Terminator!!

The first Terminator was my favorite. T2 was a very good remake, with awesome special FX, IMO. But the first Terminator scared me when I was a kid. As cool as T-1000 was, and formidable as T-X turned out to be, neither one of them affected me like the T-800.

T2

I can't belive it's so good for a sequel either.

The Terminator for me, its much grittier and darker and Arnold was a better bad guy. He really is superb in this role. T2 is great, T3 is so-so, but the Terminator is the cream of the trilogy for me. And Kyle Reese is one of my favourite characters ever.

I know I am definately in the minority in this one, but the Terminator was a great movie, and the best. The other two movies sucked in my opinion. Thats right, I hated Terminator 2. I felt the characters were weak, Arnold was just the same character from all his other movies, the good guy with the gun. Sure, the movie had great special effects, but that was about it. The Terminator destroys the other two movies in quality.

T2: Judgment Day was the best.

It had two terminators, one terminator showed it's "human" side, and more action.

Terminator 1 was an excellent movie and definitely paved the way for a lot more darker sci-fi films to follow. The concept is really original and I loved how it's such a complex thought provoking story.

But I have to say T2 is my overall favorite. As dark as Terminator 1 is, and yes it's dark, Terminator 2 is by far darker and provided some extra emotional impacts that wasn't there in the first film.

You can't tell me you didn't shed a tear or choke up when Arnold says "I know now why you cry, but it's something I can never do", then John embraces him and it's such a powerful moment that I got choked up.

So T2 by far in my opinion. It just improved upon what wasn't there in Terminator 1.

T2 wasn't a remake.

You are right about the T-800 being the best,
The T-850 was a beast too.

I like all 3 of them, but 2 is the best one.

To me T2 was a remake. It is pretty much Terminator I over again, with a bigger budget and John Conner replacing Kyle Reese.

T1, by a huge margin. The second is GREAT popcorn fun, but the first is cinematic greatness.

Are you kidding me? LOL. John Connor was the protectee, not the protector. Connor's character was nothing like Reese. As far as screen presence goes, Edward Furlong had nothing on Michael Biehn.

And my favorite is definitely the first movie. Everything about T1 just looks gritty and raw and that's what I love about it. The car chases and the shootouts are intense and everything looks unpolished (in a good way). Love the simple but effective musical score and you can't top Arnold's T-800 as the bad guy.

The first was the best, grittier and darker the perfect setting for the story. T2, while good, was more campy with all the the terminators jokes and whatnot.

Despite being gritty and dark, which shouldn't be a positive in and of itself as it usually is for teens, though it is a positive considering the material in this movie, T1 just had so much more substance. Every scene was so carefully laid out to represent the clash between man and technology, it was subtle but prominent. Not to mention overall, the first movie put forth a very interesting reflection of the circular time theory, the photo at the end capped it off magnificently. Then the second film just completely contradicted that.

I liked them all, but T2 is my favourite.

Even though T2 is the favorite for most people.... I'll always think the original Terminator was the best one. Arnold's T-800 was just one of the most menacing movie villains of all time.

Anybody who votes for the third movie will gets his ass kicked by yours truly.

Then I'll vote for T3 just to have my ass kicked real hard. It's the only movie with inflatable boobies so it's wortha good kick in the ass to me!

T2.

Now The Terminator was a very good movie, but T2 took Terminator and built upon it and made it even bigger.

The first Terminator movie was the best.

Although I was familiar with the plot before I saw it, having watched "The Outer Limits", specifically the episodes written by Harlan Ellison: "Soldier" and "Demon with a Glass Hand" :D
