Another great episode, Jimmy meeting his clients was just hysterical. Also finally we are getting more Mike.:up:

Doublin down on the old jokes. I halfway expected to see Tio at the elderly home.

I loved Jimmy dressing himself after Matlock.

I'm also really glad Mike is such a big part of the show. He was one of the best of parts of Breaking Bad, and is definitely one of the top characters who we needed to know more about.

Any bets on who the fellow at his door is? I feel like it's his former partner.

That toilet thing was hilarious. :lmao:

I really love how Saul is looking out for his brother. I can't wait to see what's up with Mike. I can't remember her face in Breaking Bad but is that lady his daughter?

or daughter in-law considering the promo for the next episode, but yeah I think it's her from Breaking Bad.

Thanks! I can't remember her face in Breaking Bad anymore. :oldrazz:

Great episode. My big question is how far back does this take place? Seems to be the late 90's or early 00's. And I forget what year BrBa started I wanna say 05? If this show is a bit they could def take us into his time with Walt as well as even into the present day. Maybe it all catches up with him in the series finale? That would be cool

Better Call Saul takes place in 2002 and I think Breaking Bad takes place between 2009-2011.

Got damn, next week looks like it's gonna be intense.

Next weeks episode looks great. Love seeing more Mike.

Possibly. I'll have to back and rewatch.

Thanks for the enlightenment there. So it seems like they have plenty of time to do things before Walt comes into the picture

Was that the same Nursing Home from BrBa?

I think so. I kind of expected Vince to show the exterior as a callback. You know, when Gus ominously walks up to the entrance.

This show has already succeeded in inheriting its own identity. I feel like whereas BB as like rock and roll, this is like jazz. It's more intrinsic where the writing and plotting is actually very, very subtle. It's not like, "Walt seeks his former partners to fund his cancer treatments which will lead to x then y." It was faster paced too. But this is a slower burn, pure character piece that seems like in the end it will be worth it. Next episode seems to become more intense which is great. And the reason I'm excited is because it's earned. The second episode could have been the 'Intense Mike Episode" if they didn't know what they were doing.

The huge benefit to this show is if the writers looks at themselves and BB objectively instead of, "We made one of the greatest shows of all time, there's no way we made mistakes" and actually see what they could improve upon in their own writing and anything they learned and could have done differently in BB, this show has potential to be really special. You can already see more potential in this show this season than you could have when you watched BB's first season.

Could be different actresses but it mostly likely the same character.

Still loving this show. Looking forward to seeing more of Henley's character and what dealings he has with Mike. Have loved him as an actor ever since Collateral.

When Billy took all that cash out of his vault I was convinced it was going to be revealed as a dream sequence because it just seemed too good to be true. Then Jimmy got a good look at the money...

I'm curious. Is anyone here watching Better Call Saul without having seen Breaking Bad?

Good episode, by the way.

This show continues to impress. Next week looks interesting and I'm glad to see more Mike into the plot.

I have to say Bob Odenkirk deserves all the praises he's getting and then some more. He was aces in BB, but here he is just firing away and it's all golden.
