Shouldn't have called her biznatch.

Haha, so Tarantino that scene was.

Decent episode. Not as interesting as the premiere but Im obviously still into this

Another fun episode.

Anyone able to read what it said on the matchbox?

Not quite as great as the pilot, but still damn good on its own. I am so into this show already.

I do have one issue right now. At the end of Breaking Bad I thought it was great that Saul would end up slumming it in a mall in Omaha. Two episodes in, and I want a better fate for the guy.

I actually liked it more than the pilot, and I really liked the pilot.

Me too. Some parts of the first episode dragged a bit for me but this one was ace all throughout IMO.

Yeah, I thought it was just as good as, if not better than the first episode.

Also, a post above just reminded me of this: I'm seeing all these things online about how Saul is a "ruthless" guy or something, and I'm a little confused as to how anyone got that picture of him. Other than the "Belize" line and the ricin thing (which wasn't even his idea), I don't remember him doing anything overtly ruthless or particularly evil, so to speak. Why would he deserve to have a particularly ****** fate?

I don't know. Maybe I'm forgetting things.

Well he did become a criminal himself as time progresses.

In fact, you see the early metamorphosis in episode 2 from ambulance chaser to full fledged criminal accomplice.

i thought the premiere was boring. episode 2 was significantly better.

Michelle MacLaren is directing this episode? :awesome:

I didn't know she was coming back or Kelly Dixon editing either. The Breaking Bad team is all here pretty much. This is so lovely.

Episode two was a trip. This has exceeded expectations for me, and to think I was hesitant to a Saul Goodman spinoff. Ha.

Can't wait to see how the season goes.

I really liked episode 2, I'm way more into this show than I expected I'd be. Loved the whole desert sequence, especially Saul's negotiating.

Did not know we are getting Ep2 tonight, is this its official slot? So many shows now on Mondays.

What else is on? I only have Better Call Saul and Star Wars Rebels.

They could easily do stories in the future/present tense. I wouldn't be surprised if they returned to that. They are bound by certain things in the canon since this is a prequel but they still have a lot of creative freedom.

I liked episode 2 way more than I liked episode 1.

I liked both, but this did feel like it had a better pace or flow to it.

Also chuckled at Tuco's guy that he beat to death in S1 of Breaking Bad speaking out of turn again. He really should've learned.

The premiere was excellent...but this episode was far more interesting. The scene over whats fair with Tuco was fantastic.

Loved these two episodes. The writing, the dialog is just so on point. No sloppy waste to be found. I'm still wondering why Mike is a lowly car park attendant but I trust the show will have it all make sense in the course of time. And we only had to wait until the 2nd episode to get our first musical montage. All in all I give these two collectively(because that's how I saw them as 1 long block of programming) a 8.5-9/10...somewhere in there. Very strong start. The Breaking Bad mojo is back, alive and well on this show...yeah! :)

Ha yeah, that was a pretty great callback.

Breaking Bad has the best montages.
