Mike and those damn stickers crack me up. He's always committed to whatever job he's got.

Love Tuco taking care of his abuelita.

I knew right away they used the same car door opener for Saul that they did for Walter's last car.

They got to get the White family back together for a cameo. Just have them stand behind Saul in line at Burger King or something.

I wonder how they're going to handle Chuck. A character who can't go outdoors is rather limited in story potential.

Yeah, I thought it was just as good as, if not better than the first episode.

Also, a post above just reminded me of this: I'm seeing all these things online about how Saul is a "ruthless" guy or something, and I'm a little confused as to how anyone got that picture of him. Other than the "Belize" line and the ricin thing (which wasn't even his idea), I don't remember him doing anything overtly ruthless or particularly evil, so to speak. Why would he deserve to have a particularly ****** fate?

I don't know. Maybe I'm forgetting things.

When they first hired Saul, he recommended that they have Badger shivved in the chow line in prison. He was ruthlesss, in his own cheerful way, from the get-go. He also implicitly suggested having Jesse killed after he threatened to wreak revenge on Hank.

I liked when he walks out to the parking lot and you see him walking towards his Caddy but you see him get into that POS Suzuki Esteem :funny:.

I really enjoyed the second episode. First was alright but not the best. I'll keep watching because I have faith in Gilligan.

One thing I kinda just thought of, it's really going to be great seeing Jimmy's rise from a nothing two bit attorney to a full blown criminal in his own right. I never really thought much about it but Saul Goodman IS Jimmy McGill's "Heisenberg." I wonder if his transformation will be as dramatic and transformative. I think we will see it, to some degree. Probably more a moral thing than a physical change in appearance like Walt had.

I doubt his transformation will be as dramatic or big as Walt's but should still be good.

I just think it's interesting the difference between the Jimmy we know here, who went out of his way to prevent Tuco from killing the skateboarders, and the Saul we knew on Breaking Bad, who was willing to look the other way when Walt may very well have put a bullet in Jesse's head out in the desert.

Finished Breaking Bad, how many episodes is this in so far?

Ah damn it, I thought this was a Sunday show. Bahh!

Yeah, I don't understand why they didn't just keep it on Sundays with a lead-in. Is Talking Dead really that big of a deal?

Watching the first episode and it's not bad. I always liked Saul and it's nice to see a spin-off of a worthwhile and interesting character as opposed to what usually happens, like Joey from Friends.

That's because they chose the right character to spin off. Saul is the perfect character to give a show to. We knew him, but we didn't know everything about him. We didn't see anything through his eyes, we didn't ever follow him home from work, we didn't know really anything about his past aside from a few anecdotes he told from time to time... he's the perfect candidate. I see people say from time to time "Oh, they should've given Jesse his own show!" or the same thing about Gus. Now those would almost certainly be Joeys. We know everything important there is to know about Jesse. What are we going to watch? Him move to Jersey and open up a roller rink while evading the police that will almost certainly find him sooner rather than later?! And with Gus, we know the broad strokes of his story. We don't know the intricacies, but we know the major plot points. We would know the important stuff before it ever happens, so what's the point?

Saul was always the perfect character to give his own show.
