That was my thought too but on the other hand, she looks too genuinely scared to come across as someone just fooling Mike? Maybe she's just become too paranoid and is losing it (maybe a result of what happened to her husband)?

On reddit the general feeling seems to be that she's losing her mind and mistook the sound of the newspaper hitting the sidewalk as gunshots. I don't know how. I've heard gunshots before and they don't sound a thing like a newspaper.

Yeah, I thought the same, haha.

So do you guys think Jimmy will get kicked out of Davis and Main in the next couple episodes? Or just leave of his own volition at some point because of Chuck grilling him at every meeting?

Yeah, I read it as paranoia. After her husband's death and Mike's confession she seems to be unraveling.

I love that this is almost just as much Mike's show as it is Jimmy's. The two stories being told in parallel, occasionally bumping into each other, is great fun.

I think it's because I believe that Mike will be very instrumental in Jimmy becoming Saul. So you can't fully tell Saul's story without also sharing Mike's.

Well, Mike was a character on Breaking Bad that got introduced by way of Saul, so there's something natural about giving them parallel storylines in a Saul show.

It is natural, and it works beautifully, but they never had to do it. I'm glad they didn't just put Mike in here and there. Of course, if you're going to have Johnathan Banks in your show you're going to want more than less.

Damn, both Jimmy and Mike have woman problems.

Kim is already living a very modest life, even though she looks money at all times. It's really going to hurt when she finds out all that Jimmy has been doing.

Stacey is really trippin balls. She's in the healthcare profession, I wonder if she's partaking in some of the pharmaceuticals?

Excellent episode again. Loved the antics that Jimmy pulled.

I'm wondering how this is gonna play out. Nacho is wanting to take out Tuco, but we know Tuco makes it to BB.

Edit: Huh, guess the answer is, they don't try to kill him.

This works so well as a prequel because it doesn't require knowledge of BrBa to be engaging. If you've seen it you know Tuco makes it out alive but the episode still creates tension by withholding and hinting at how Mike's plan plays out.

Also, the guy at the table with Tuco and Nacho is the first guy Walt kills, the one locked in the basement.

Another great episode.

Loved the Krazy-8 cameo.

I knew he looked familiar :wow: I was also wondering whether the arms dealer was the same from BrBa and it seems like he was.

There are soooo many details that I wouldn't find if it wasn't for people on the internet :funny:

That was a smart idea from Mike that just failed. He was hoping the cops would've shot Tuco, but his gun dropped under the car, and they were able to arrest him without any kind of shots fired.

Oh, that was his plan? I couldn't figure out why Mike thought sending Tuco to prison for five years was going to solve Nacho's problem. Did anyone else laugh at Mike's bumbling senior routine? Even funnier was how he dropped it partway through his interaction with Tuco.

That scene between Chuck and Jimmy was absolutely brilliant. The more we learn about Jimmy the more sympathetic I become to Chuck , even though I still don't really like him.

I liked the scene with Jimmy trying to convince Chuck to come play in the mud with him. It was neat seeing Chuck refuse to break the rules, I wonder what it would take.

His plan was to take a beating and get Tuco sent to prison, it worked. Mike talked about sending Tuco away, and if I recall correctly it was Mike who knocked the gun away...which he wouldn't have done if he wanted Tuco to be waving his gun around when the police arrived. Also, Mike being the careful planner he is, there's far too much that could go wrong by letting Tuco wield his pistol -Mike or Nacho could get shot, Tuco could hide the gun when he heard the police coming, it's far too sloppy.

Ok, so I'm very late to the game. 4 episodes in to the first season. I'll get there!

There's always an element of truth to what Chuck says, as much of an ass he is.

Thank you! I was like, "I know that guy!", but I couldn't figure it out.

I'm super surprised that Kim isn't calling it quits with Jimmy. Damn, she's a good friend.
