I just binge watched all five seasons, and offer the following deep thoughts:

1-the writers of this show clearly loved Star trek the next gen, it is a cousin in many ways.

2-there were some hanging threads left open

3-I liked Lash, was soooo annoyed James that idiot killed him. That said, the writers never made it clear why he was killing regular inhumans when his purpose was to eliminate Hive.

4-the best season overall was 3; the best episodes IMO were the second half of season 2.

5-disliked the LMD/Framework pods, they were tepid, slow and boring. And rehashes from other shows. The Ghost Rider eps made season 4 tolerable.

6-season 5 wasn't bad, but a bit silly.

7- the show is so much better written, acted and designed over all than the CW shows which I also watch, its a joke. Berlanti needs to watch this show and see how a superhero show should be; the CWTV shows are terrible in comparison.

8-best episode over all was "One Door Closes", with the choreography/special effects of Daisy blasting Bobbi and the forest to be outstanding.

I'll post more when I think of them.

The ordinary Inhumans were going to be the addicted slave soldiers for Hive. Lash was just taking pieces off the table before Hive could get to them and force compliance to his will. But then you have to buy the Inhumans powers were being allocated by a god like force which wanted a balance of power

I would also argue, to the extent the mist worked as a sort of designed adaptation, it isn't going to have mathematical precision. The idea in the comics is that, if there is a war, you're more likely to have Inhumans with combat powers. But it seems to work more at a broad generality.

I never got any TNG vibes from the show, but I have always been convinced that the showrunners must have been SG-1 fans. A couple of the earlier episodes in particular seem almost like homages.

This is interesting, because season four is widely considered to be the best season of the show, with season five a close second.
