Biopics You'd Like to See

I'd love to see the Elton John story that covers his early career all the way up to the early 80's. It'd almost be like "Ray" with English accents.

-so sayeth the mastermind-

Great idea for a thread.

I'd like to see a Bill Hicks biopic (but not that terrible sounding Crowe/Howard one) A proper one, based on the American Scream biography.

I'd like a Nikola Tesla biopic, too.
That right there was one interestin' guy.

Great choices!

The Donnelly Feud

The 1970s Pittsburgh Steelers

Mario Lemieux

A fact-based Jack the Ripper film that analyzes most of the prime suspects (Gull, Prince Eddy, Sickert, etc.)

Cortes and the Aztecs

Hannibal (but NOT starring Vin Diesel)

President Madison during the War of 1812

^^ nice choice. i think one is in the works with al pacino as dali

a bio about the stooges and/pr the MC5 would be brilliant. i fully support the earlier idea of a ramones bio-pic. and i'd love for a well made beatles film....two films: the first one a black and white pic covering the early years, and a follow up in full color covering the latter years.

I would like to see a new Al Capone biopic.

In the new HBO series, Broadwalk Empire (which is set during the Prohibition era), Al Capone is featured. He's also being played by one of the best British actors working today, Stephen Graham. He was apparantly handpicked by Scorsese himself.

Seriously, I've been wanting to see Bale in a comedy for so long now. I just KNOW he has it in him!

The writers for the new Muppet movie have written him a cameo in it; whether or not he'd do it remains to be seen.

End of the Century is great, but I'd still like to see a two hour recreation of those guys. Some good stories there.

Yea, you cant really beat a solid biopic. I imagine that Johnny "stealing" Joey's girlfriend would be the crux of the film. God, the amount of historical figures in that film would be insane. Not only the Ramones themselves, but Phil Spector, the Clash, the Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop, Arturo Vega, Blondie, Roger Corman, the list would be immense!

David Berkowitz (Son of Sam)
Edgar Allen Poe

Jack Benny played by Kevin Spacey
Walt Disney played by Gary Oldman

The funny thing is that he was supposed to shoot an Abraham Lincoln biopic with Steven Spielberg.

Liam is too bulky/thick bodied IMO to play Lincoln. For that role, you need a Jeff Goldbloom tall/ lanky type, with a face like Colm Feore.

But as Washington, hell, he already has the nose & brow line for it.

Milton S. Hersey, Willis O'Brien, Alfred Hitchcock, Mary Shelly, Sergio Leone and Ennio Moricone, the guy who ,invented aglets,

It's the recreation of Johnny and Joey's relationship that I would look most forward to. The two guys who never got along and were always insulting each other are ironically the only two members who were in the band for the whole run.

I just hope they would leave out Dee Dee's attempt at a rap career. :csad:

Gilles de Rais.

This could possibly be the most sadistic biopic on a serial killer ever.

Leni Reifenstahl

Clementine Churchill

Also, I'm suprised there are absolutely no movies on people during the Bosnian Genocide. It could be the next "Schindler's List" if done right and could really go far to show muslims as victims and people rather than as psychopaths.

I would love to see a biopic on Ulysses Grant, although there is so much material it would probably need to be a series ala John Adams to do it justice. His life was basically made for Hollywood.
