Frigging A...my mom almost burn the house down again. I swear if I didn't live here in this house she'd have burned it down ages ago. And what's the thanks I get for turning off the burner for overboiled, scalding milk? She yells at my nephew and I, saying "Fine, you cook dinner." and "I'm never cooking again." I swear my mom's brain is fizzling away and I'm worried sick but all I get from her is anger and attitude, just like she said my dad would give her when she called his oversights into question. I am fed up with me saving people and getting absolutely no gratitude at all. You know, from now on I'm not going to help anyone out aside from keeping my mom from burning this house down.
Ok then, you cook.

She was hysterical, even though my car was smashed much worse. I got her information. She was claiming a semi was forcing her over, but the other witnesses who stopped said they didn't see that. Police interviewed us both and now our insurance providers are hashing things out.
Why I hate insurance.

Without insurance you'd lose your car if someone else wrote it off. And what happens if burglars clear out every possession you own? Or burn your house down? :woot:

Yes of course it's not free. You have to pay an annual or monthly amount. Buildings and car insurance are compulsory here.

So they take some of your money to see if they should refund you for something within a year, and if you didn't the money belongs to them, and you have to pay more the following year.

Yes. But the premium is hundreds/thousands of times less than the cost of the object insured as the risk is spread over the entire population of people insured. And in road accidents if someone knocks a kid down and they need lifelong medical treatment the erring driver's insurance will pay for it if they are at fault. If not the kid's family will probably lose their house trying to pay for it. If there was no insurance I don't think JJJ would be getting any money to compensate for the cost of losing his car. Someone else at fault yet he would take a big financial hit.

Speaking of insurance, I HATE them & their astronomical rates!!! :argh:

Random question. Who actually enjoys watching Nascar racing, especially on tv ??

It probably be good to watch at least once live at the racetrack, but to watch it on tv, it's boring, for me at least.

I have watched live motorsport man. Nothing live racing.

I've seen a few for F1, a couple for Motorbikes.

I don't care to watch car races.

You can see them from one point while you are standing, the rest is viewed on monitors.

I don't watch any other sports besides football or the occasional RedSox game. :)

I'll probably go to the F1 at Silverstone for next season.

Nascar is terrible. In college, my baseball team had to do 'volunteer' work for Bristol... it is even worse being at the race, but the tents, parties, food, etc, are pretty awesome... minus drunk rednecks

I made like 10,000 hotdogs that day. :lmao:

Hey man, don't crap on Dr. King's dream. Black men watching NASCAR, Korean guys in b-boy contests and white guys grabbing rebounds. It's beautiful, man.
