Hey, I was just wondering, which (if any) was your favourite Blackadder series?

Mines Blackadder II

Blackadder goes Forth by a country mile. Not least because it was socially relevant and managed to be impossibly funny and poignant at the same time. I defy anyone who didn't well up a wee bit during the final episode.

Black Adder the third. Hugh Laurie as the Prince was hilarious. The episode when they burned the first dictionary had me in stitches the whole time.

You are correct about the final episode of the series though. It makes me tear up every time I see it.

II and goes fourth were the best. But the finally of "the third" was hilarious.

It is hard just to pick one. Goes forth was amazing, and the Third always suprises me.

I HATE the first though.

Personally, I go with II. Blackadder was his coolest then, plus it had Queeny and Flashheart's first appearance dammit!

Flashheart's head butt to Percy is fantastic and never gets old.

Blackadder 2 closely followed by Blackadder the Third. Absolute genius.

I have a cunning plan my lord.

They were all great :D

The first series was horrendous, it really wasn't funny.

I think it's when Ben Elton came on board in the second series that things really picked up.

My favourite is the fourth series, not only because of the tremendous final episode, but also for the great guest appearence from Lord Flashheart.

Treat your kite like you treat your woman... Get inside her five times a day and take her to Heaven and back :D

That would indeed be a cunning plan, if not for the minor problem that the first series sucked balls.

Aww..come off it. The faces Atkinson makes in that series are hysterical.

The only part of the first series I found funny was when he died at the end. Hearing him scream then laugh for some reason was very humerous.

Third with Laurie as the prince is still the best.

When Baldrick threw the dictionary in the fire, I was laughing histarically.:woot:

Blackadder II. No questions. No doubts. The Queen was freaking hilarious, and Baldrick is awesome. I also love it for being Hugh Laurie's first venture into the Blackadder series as Prince Ludwig ("I hope I did not... inconwenience you.")

Goes Forth comes in a very close second, though.

The first one was kinda weak, but had some funny parts. The second and third are pure genius. The fourth is alright.

And that DVD set that collects them all is a must-have in any comedy collection. Even though the millenium party one sucked

I like all of them, I love it! and can't wait for "Mr Beans Holiday"

i didnt like the first one, the others though were hilarious. the very last ep, did move me.

Mega-necro but for good reason. A fifth Blackadder is reported in the works. :D Albeit as a movie this time around. I hope this actually does go through unlike the previous attempt that didn't happen. World War II era for those who don't get the reference.

Veteran British comedy producer John Lloyd has reportedly had discussions with Rowan Atkinson about a possible movie based on the classic 1980s sitcom "Blackadder"

A fifth season was proposed long ago which would've been set in the 1960s and followed a band. Lloyd tells The Sun that, with the cast now getting on in years, the setting will be quite different:

Rowan and I had this great idea, because we are all getting a bit old, of doing a kind of Dad’s Army… They are a platoon in Walmington-on-Sea where they get kidnapped by a German submarine and taken to Colditz. They then have to escape.

Because Tony Robinson is probably very near 70 now he would be just about the right age. We’d do it as a Blackadder – it would make a good movie, I think.
Dark Horizons

I was just about to wonder if they would even make another blackadder. Yay, that's awesome news!
