To anyone interested, there's a petition over at imdb on the page for Blade: The Series to get a second season going. For anyone who doesn't know, the first season was produced by Spike TV and was aborted after 1 season when it didn't perform as well as they wanted. It's not that it did bad, it just didn't do well enough considering its cost. In any event, I think they should have given it more of a chance to find an audience because I just started watching it on DVD but so far, it kicks ass.

The series has been over for too long to think it'll get picked up again, it was fun while it lasted, but it ain't coming back.

There's also been talk of a direct to DVD movie; I'm not saying to get your hopes up, but showing support can't hurt :yay:

I'd be happy with a DVD film , I liked the show was cool and good ending cliff hanger.

This show sucked harder than a drunk college girl in Cancun....

I agree. "Sticky Fingaz"? Couldn't take it seriously.

As a matter of fact, if you took "Blade" out of this series, it would have been pretty good.

But watching his portrayal was like, "Really? WTF is this?"

Personally I think it was David Goyer's final way of giving the big middle finger to Wesley Snipes.

I'll sign it but I doubt the will get picked up. It's a pity because it was an excellent show. The problem is that it ended up on the Troglodyte network, which is run by utter simpletons. I hope we haven't seen the last of Blade either on the small or big screen.

This was one of the worst shows ever. Not because it was actually bad but because a supporting character actually stole the show. That's unheard of. The blade character was nothing more than a prop. They should have called it Krista the Series which I actually wouldn't have minded.

I was not impressed by the show. It had some interesting stuff going on, particularly the bits delving into Blade's past, but ultimately I think Sticky Fingaz just wasn't ready to take on the lead role in a TV series. He just didn't give a very compelling performance. Didn't help that Krista and even his hacker sidekick totally overshadowed him, either.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bad idea! bad idea! bad idea!

The show isn't coming back....at least not on Spike...they are too busy courting the visor wearing, head gel, armband tattoo demographic with 6 hours a day of UFC programming

Michael Jai White would have been a much more fitting replacement for Snipes. He has the martial arts back ground which Sticky lacked, and the acting chops. I seriously doubt it's coming back. It was pretty good for what it was, but i really think if Snipes or White were the ones playing Blade, the show might have stuck around for a while.

How's the dvd? I heard it's uncut with alot of nudity.

People kept throwing White's name around when the show was being made, and I always thought he was a good pick.

This show got good about 6 episodes in. Before that was a borefest, but after that was a series that stated to develop an interesting story and had me waiting every Wednesday night.

Me too, how far was it with the whistler episode I think that's the last I saw?

I got this show on DVD cause Best Buy had it mis-priced for $15 for the entire series...I watched one episode, then put it on my shelf and havent touched it since. Please, no season 2.

There was one episode where Blade's old crew came back to haunt him. I thought it might actually be getting good at that point. But even then, I still just couldn't buy Sticky as Blade.

At the very least, they had an interesting villain, that's what really kept me coming back each week.

Neil Jackson is a pretty good actor. I hope he gets a starring role in something soon.
