BLM Protests Across The World

My favorite part of the K-Pop invasion was when they drowned out the hashtag #bluelivesmatter with random pics of K-Pop artists with blue hair. That was great.

It still just really boggles my mind that they couldn't enforce a curfew to stop the spread of COVID all through February - May when those right wing nutjobs were protesting their rights to go to Super Cuts, but as soon as Black & Brown people start protesting it's immediate lockdown, curfews, police and national guard swarming in guns blazing.

Yeah, but he didn't have a bat.......

EDIT: Want to guess what would happen if a black guy showed up to a Klan rally like that?
Have you not been watching the news the past 10 days?

Funny enough even though Boyega says he might not have a career for doing this, I actually think his career is actually going to skyrocket after this. There’s so many in Hollywood speaking about this issue from Disney to Warners. It’s honestly quite stunning the amount of attention this incident has received from all walks of life... and business.
Yeah I don't know why he's saying that. Not even just the corporations there are plenty of people in Hollywood that have gotten and are getting involved in a myriad of issues. He'll be fine.

Great what he's doing though

Up until recently Boyega would be right to think his career in jeopardy. The threat of retaliation to speaking out was always there, especially before MeToo though now these shifts are taking place Hollywood has learned it has to keep up.

The momentum needs to keep going but for now no one is going to retaliate against Boyega or anyone else speaking up against these crimes.

This whole thing is a disturbing and disgusting cluster ****! The crazy thing is that it's mostly law enforcement's doing and they keep making it worse

Yeah, I've been getting text messages all day from LA (County/City) and Culver City. I think Bill Gates somehow put a chip in my head and is tracking me.

Y'know, the bottom line is that I'm okay with the curfews at this point. I had to go back into Santa Monica early this morning and it didn't look like the war zone it did on Monday morning. Let's make a point of our displeasure in as many ways as possible, but looting has nothing to do with protest. I'm really proud of those people who stood up to people who were just out to steal and incite violence (this is a simple statement to a complicated issue). As someone who grew up all over LA in poorer neighborhoods (East LA, South Central, Inglewood, Gardena, etc), I know what it's like to not have stuff and there was a time in my life when I would have grabbed what I could and ran. I get what's going on with some of these folks, but this isn't the time. This is an opportunity to push through some real changes that can have long term benefits for all of us. Maybe we get those benefits and maybe we don't, but I want to take a shot at it.
