BLM Protests Across The World

Not saying we need to live with this for this long, but... Yeah, history tells me this will in one form or another probably go on for some time.

Yeah that's the thing about all of this. The protests are great, but hurting their wallets would do more. I don't know exactly how to do that or what to boycott. Or even what to give my money to other than GoFundMes and Bail Funds

I don't agree. Those shows might give those calling for the defunding of cops a reason to reconsider. There's a lot of good cops out there doing things right and people need to see that, too. :(

I say this as someone who hopes his brother is still a good one, no. The public does not need to see that. "A few bad apples" is the lie. The NYPD is a straight up gang. A lot more are in open revolt from elected officials. The blue line means the bad ones are in control.

A how many cops look at a show like "Cops" at some point and try and emulate the cops on that show

Watching Chris Hayes the other night really put all this into perspective. Let's say there really are a few bad apples. Now finish the saying. It isn't a few bad apples, and just keep eating the apples. It's a few bad apples spoil the bunch. Even if it started with a few bad apples, it didn't but say it did, they have spoiled policing across the nation.

I say this as a kid who grew up loving Cops, and found himself on a lot of Friday nights watching way too much Live PD. You definitely don't want a lot of cops on those shows being emulated. And these are the ones they know will be on their best behavior.

Also it pissed off this idiot. That is probably a good barometer for it being a good decision.

And this is just it... This issue of police/LOE commiting premeidated acts against the public during this time is HUGE. This is not an "isolated incident" in some place other than where you are from. This is happening likely right where you live. Attacks on the press. Attacks on protesters. Conflating the civil rights issue of protest with the destruction and chaos of rioting. Covering badges. Firing "non-lethal" weapons at people merely in their own homes or driving their cars. This is all being recorded. It's all over. And it paints of picture of law enforcement in the U.S. that is out of control and acting like they will never be held accountable because that's exactly what we as a society have allowed for decades.
The picture that you paint is an awful and it is troubling, because it is what we are witnessing since two years and a half, in France... Support to you American brothers and sisters....

The similarities between Trump's administration and Boris' will never stop being amusing.

I... uh... what...?

Don't necessarily agree with what he said, but I do hear some Progressives get a little too literal with the Eat the Rich motto.

In Glasgow, Scotland Streets named after slave traders were renamed after prominent black figures by protesters

Protestors on horses. My advice to the protestors on foot is "Be a leader; not a follower".

I'm sure the police budget can be cut, but I think the real key is WHERE the money is going. AND, please, if we are going to arm people and put them in public, there better damn well be public review of action taken as well as having disclosure of past missteps.
