BLM Protests Across The World

I find it interesting that the police can roll out in force and tear gas the hell out of everyone so Trump can walk across the street and have a photo op, but they're just powerless when a mob of white trash barges into the Capitol Building, wanders around the Senate Chamber taking selfies, steals podiums, and sits in Pelosi's office and steals her mail.

Yesterday made us look pathetically helpless at defending one of the capital seats of our government against total disorganized rabble. It was embarrassing.

It points to what the 2020 Summer Police freakout made clear...

We have a mix of far too many RWNJs, Authoritarians and just a **** ton of common criminals in our police force nationwide.

Had a BLM protest been scheduled for the same day Congress was going through its Electoral count you can be damned sure there would have been such a massive show of force that no protesters would have been able to even see the Capitol Building.

Yesterday?

THE COPS WERE COMPLICIT.

Someone needs to explain why they opened the barricades and let "protesters" through. And why they took selfies with them.

The cover stories being told around the RWNJ campfires on the Net are:

"They were ANTIFA who where bussed in days ago. The D.C. police escorted them."

(So... Blue Lives matter is... Wrong? )

"The police and security that were in and around the Capitol Building were afraid so they did their best to handle the terrorists as lightly as possible."

(So once again... Cops being "scared" is a good enough explanation for why they can't properly execute their jobs... Except of course they don't use the same tactics with so many men and women of color when they are scared in other situations. Then it is right to executions in the streets. )

"Cops acted as patriots and made sure the people inside know that they should be afraid of the people outside!"

(The minority opinion being floated around by those that are oddly owning their shame as idiots... But at least it is the most honest answer out there.)

I see posts going around where we’re supposed to feel bad for the woman who was shot and killed and frankly I find that baffling. Maybe this is revealing my own lack of humanity or whatever, I really don’t care if it is or isn’t, but I genuinely do not understand why I am supposed to have a reaction to her death.

I mean, I suspect most of those against the police over the summer understand there are times lethal force is necessary. This was definitely one of those times.

I'm sure it is a tragic event... For those in her immediate circle. Friends, co-workers, family...

I have sympathy for THEM.

But she made a choice, a stark choice, as a legal adult.

She played the most stupid of games because she was... Deplorable.

Or stupid.

Or unhinged.

But there's nothing to evoke honest tears.

I am saving that for the people dying of Covid-19 or whose body has been incapacitated because of the disease. I have sympathy for those looking at the poor house or the soup kitchen because fools like this woman couldn't see that a moron grifter was so obviously a moron grifter.

I have OODLES of compassion for those that have not done everything they possibly could in the last five years to prove how unworthy they are of it.
