So yeah... this show premieres on SyFy tonight. It's about a dystopian "future" (it's set in 1999) where cars eat people and run on human blood. I can't post the trailer here but it's easy enough to find. It's pure grindhouse and looks hilarious.

Had a blast with that first episode.

I think it will be like Z-Nation where they go to absurd levels of violence/gore and implausibility while keeping it light.

Ugh, I forgot about this. Hell, I almost missed Fargo.

This show is a blast. The two leads are great, Colin Cunningham kills it as usual and the world they've set up is fantastic. I love how each episode has a corresponding grindhouse style VHS cover/poster. I can't wait for episode 2.

I kinda think Ritchson as the straight man is not the best fit for him. I enjoyed it but I wanted some lame one liners and over the top machismo from him. The dude could be as close as we're going to get to young Bruce Campbell and you have him pull back? Wierd choice in my opinion. Especially for this show.

I haven't really seen him in anything before; is that his typical shtick?

Well, I would say he was really a funny guy in Blue Mountain State and it seems weird to not use his comedic side in a pilot for a Grindhouse show of all things. Blue Mountain State he plays this apha male frat boy manchild to great affect . I was hoping he would be a bit more broad here than he was.. Auqaman on Smallville was much more subdued though,

Well, from what I gather from the previews of future episodes, it looks like he becomes more of a badass as the show goes on. Guess we'll see. I kind of enjoyed him being a total dolt in the pilot though, lol.

There is a promo of this on Facebook today in which Grace and Arthur play a 1950s "Leave it to Beaver" type of couple who are going to feed their baby to a garbage disposal. :D

Anyone see last week's episode? Loved the cannibal diner.

It is definitely a Z-Nation type series. Though not as absurd yet.

Just watched this as the On Demand episodes expired yesterday. Thought it was a crazy fun drive. And of course Christina Ochoa is hot as hell. The race itself only seemed to last about half a season. It seemed more like a show about a show about racing. And the next season looked like it would be going in a completely different direction. Would have like to have a couple more of those crazy grindhouse ads. Still, loved it for what it was.
