Blue Beetle Movie

ok, just watched it, cool, a slight spiderman vibe in places, look forward to seeing how it all pieces together, any help needed, jus let moi know! Keep it all up!

well the 2nd blue beetle and spiderman were created with in 3 years of each other, if not at the same time. so yeah, yer gonna get that feeling. but the story line is very true to the orgin story in the comics. i dont know if youve read it or not, but the blue beetle has always been a character that reflects the current trends in superheroes. in the 1930's when he came out, he was a green hornet rip off. then a phantom rip off. then in the 1960's a spiderman rip off. and now, god knows what he is.

well I don't see him ripping off spawn any time soon, lol.

ha. funny. yeah i think there is finally enough to work with for the character that he can finally become truly original.

i'm not very familiar with blue beetle, so i can't talk about accuracy, But I like what your doing, not my exact fav sort of film style, but I'm very much looking forward to it! Screening when???

itll be screening at supercon in ft. lauderdale in florida. november 3rd - 5th. and the new york comic con this febuary.

where did you find the music? I keep making movies and having no music. its either no music or The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. And also what do you use for your special effects and everything?

the music, well i do have an extensive movie score librairy. but as for the artists, i used steve jablonsky's "the island" theme for the cemetary part. and for the action part, i used immediate music's "all hell breaks loose" score. its pretty cool. as for other artists to possibly borrow from, try looking up these names, it will definitely help you:

john powell
harry gregson-williams
danny elfman
john carpenter
marco beltrami
john ottman
john williams
don davis
steve jablonsky
mark mancina
graeme revell
immediate music
x-ray dog

those are all great composers with wonderful scores. look them up and you wont have to worry about those crummy bands anymore.

as for fx. get after effects for mac. thats how i did my fx.

Only problem with that is copyright issues, even if you show it on the net, people will get screwy, miniclip, youtube and atomfilms make money, so the composers and musicians will get pissy that someone makes money off of them, but you can usually get away with it, as long as you personally make no money from it

indeed, thats why im glad to be covered under the fan film umbrella. i only use existing music for my fan films. for my original work, i get original scores i either make myself or get someone to make for me.

what other work you done so far then? How much you pay for a scoring?

check my website out. and normally if it isnt a fan film, i score myself. so i dont pay much.

Okies, what do you record your sound on? And where do you find your cast?

halloween
batman begins
spiderman 2
united 93
collateral
man on fire
maniac cop
freddy vs jason
sin city
evil dead
love, actually
v for vendetta

as you can see, my taste ranges
