Bohemian Rhapsody

Sounds like any chance this film had of being good exited with Sacha. A PG Freddy Mercury film? Really?

Because if anyone's life story lends itself to a PG movie..... it's Freddie Mercury's.

Why would anyone want a neutered version of someone's life? I'd like to know what really happened thank you.

honesty i'd love an ozzy film but man i dont think anyone resembles that man lol

anyone watch his documentary that man was seriously messed up lol

Good riddance? SBC was the perfect choice to play Mercury. He's the main reason this movie was getting made. A PG rated fluff piece about Queen deserves to be on the Lifetime channel

No, he wasn't. Sweeney Todd and Les Miserables proves his inability to sing, and all of his other movies prove to me his inability to act or channel Mercury. So yes, good riddance.

i think Queen are against a Mercury movie. so they will never be happy with a director and actor.

The surviving band members are idiots.
The worst part is, Brian May is extremely intelligent, but I guess they don't want Freddy's dirty laundry aired across the world anymore. Still, this had so much potential, but PG, no thanks.

I thought he was very good in Seednet Todd

Adam Lambert isn't much of an actor at all. Even though he and Queen are now best buddies I hope they resist the urge to cast him. He's never made a movie before and I can't see the studio hiring him for something as big as this. He's a stage performer, not an actor.

I've seen Russell Brand's name bandied about. But my gut feeling is they'll just shelve the picture. The fans won't want a dishonest, whitewashed PG-13 version anyway.

Roger says he wants Ben Whishaw to play Freddie

Sounds like he'll get his wish...

GK Films Taps Dexter Fletcher To Helm Freddie Mercury Pic With Ben Whishaw
By MIKE FLEMING JR

EXCLUSIVE: Hot off directing the musical Sunshine On Leith, British actor turned helmer Dexter Fletcher has closed a deal to helm the movie on Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. Ben Whishaw is circling the lead role in the film. GK Films is producing and Sony Pictures has first crack at the film. More…

Whishaw is good people, though, I think...

With a mustache, I can kinda see it. He just needs to bulk up a little bit.

Sacha Baron Cohen is so perfect for the role that I can't really see anyone else in the role since they re-cast him.

Yep. Even when he was sick, I don't think he was ever Whishaw's size, at least not while in the public eye.

Same here. I really hope they make a great movie, but I'll always be wondering what it would have been like with Cohen.
