Book series that you want to see as films

Odd Thomas (In the works!)
Jonathan Kellerman's Alex Delaware novels.
Not a series but, any of Christopher Moore's books. Especially, Practical Demonkeeping!

Oh, and... FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING, PLEASE! PLEASE! Make a movie from Good Omens!

This would be impossible...but I wish they could somehow do a Kingkiller Chronicle set of films.

The Deathgate Cycle by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman; blows their Dragonlance work out of the water in my opinion.

The Soulforge by Margaret Weis: It gives you an intimate look at the Heroes of the Lance, from the Dragonlance Chronicles and has a gritty feel compared to the LOTR-ish Dragonlance Chronicles.

Matthew Reilly books are tailor made for the big screen, his Scarecrow series and Jack West books are great but even a stand alone like Contest or Temple would be fantastic.

And as always, Hyperion... although I'd be pumped for any Dan Simmons novel to make the jump. So excited for The Terror on AMC!

I always wanted a sequel to A Series of Unfortunate Events.

I wouldn't mind it re-done entirely. There was a little too much Carrey schtick in his Olaf for my liking.

I wouldn't mind an animated adaptation, in the style of the books artwork. I think there could be some pretty terrific, offbeat animation potential in this series.

I’m currently reading console wars about the early days of the Sega/Nintendo rivalry and it’s really good! I reckon it would make an awesome movie. Not sure who I would cast though

I would prefer this to be a series, but I would like to see HBO/Netflix/Amazon tackle the Hyperion series.

This isn't really a book series, but I want to see In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash by Jean Shepherd get turned into a film. A Christmas Story was based on some of the short stories featured in this book.

It's not a series, but The Neverending Story by Michael Ende is desperately in need of a big budget, faithful adaptation. Don't get me wrong, I do love the 80's film for nostalgic reasons more than anything, but it changes way too much, it only adapts half the story and the book is so much better. To do the book justice, two films would be necessary, the first covering Atreyu's quest and ending when Bastian enters Fantastica (like the existing film) and the second covering Bastian's adventures in Fantastica.

I also really want a proper adaptation of Stephen King's Dark Tower series, not that abomination that was released last year. Done properly, a series of Dark Tower films could be some of the most unique and mind bending live action fantasy ever produced.

Animorphs if they can change the whole series to a movie friendly format. But at the end of the day, it lends itself better as a Netflix series.

I'd like to see more of Laura Lippman's novels made into books. Particularly Life Sentences .

The Little Fuzzy books by H. Beam Piper. The cute furry little aliens would be a cinch with current CGI technology.
