I know there are plenty of Aspiring Filmmakers (writers/Directors) here. So here is a scenario:

What book/Comic/Graphic Novel would You Like to adapt into a movie?
Would you be as faithful as possible or would you put a different spin on it?
Who would be in the cast?
Who be the Composer?
What Music would be in the Soundtack?

My choice would be Both Anne Rice Books from the Vampire Chronicles: The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned. However, Instead of ignoring Interview with the Vampire like the other "Queen of The Damned" movie I would link it. (and do what the WB Should have done an Made a Trilogy of the books)

As far as being faithful, again I would be as faithful as possible to the Books, as much as Anne Rice was faithful in her screenplay.

As far as Cast Goes For th most part I would keep it the same as it was for Interview with the Vampire: (ie: Lestat: Tom Cruise, Louis: Brad Pitt)
But for the rest: (To Start)
The Vampire Lestat:
Magnus: Jermy Irons
Gabrielle: Either Michelle Pfeiffer, Emma Thompson or Cate Blanchet
Nicholas: Johnny Depp
Marius: Either Sam Neil or Hugo Weaving

Queen of the Damned
Maharet/Mekare: Either Salma Hayek or Aishwarya Rai
Akasha: Rosario Dawson

Music: John Williams
Sountrack: Some songs from Guns and Roses, Queen and Rolling Stones.
Sympathy for the Devil (both versions)
The Invisible Man
Plus some Original Music from Lestat's Band.

moon knight wouldnt do very well. i mean it would, but to many people might see it as a batman imitation or whatnot. maybe it could get a 20-30 mill opening weekend. but since theres a batman franchise the odds are against moon knight.

A game of Throne and it's sequels..

massive work, but damn cool :o

Life of Pi

Carve Her Name with Pride

The Neverending Story

Maniac McGee

The Giver

The Wizard of Oz

These are hypothetical situations and ridiculous for you to be throwing out pojected weekend opening numbers for a movie that wont be made for the next 5 years.

John Ridley's two novels "Those Who Walk in Darkness" and "What Fire Cannot Burn" that are about Soledad O'Roark, a mutant hunting cop in a United States that has outlawed metahumans/mutants.

Cast:
Main characters
Soledad O'Roark: Rosario Dawson
Eddi Aoki: Maggie Q

MTAC (Mutant Hunting) Unit
Cole Hauser
Gina Torres
Bill Paxton
Esai Morales
Morris Chestnutt

Would also like to do Steven Barnes alternative histories "Lion's Blood" and "Zulu Heart", and Charles Saunders fantasy epic "Imaro".

I would like to take the CrossGen series Negation and put that on the big screen as well. Also would like to see Milestone Comics Icon on the big screen.

He doesnt want anyone bastardizing his work.

I hear he's crazy and chases his kids from his lawn with a shotgun.

The Warlord Chronicles:
The Winter King
Enemy of God
Excalibur

all i know is that a moon knight movie wouldnt make close to 40 mill especially a C list character like him.

Farewell to Manzanar

And I would be uber faithful.

I am reading those at the moment.

Also other books I would like to make into movies are:
Drunken Irishman chronicles.
Crimson Desert - Sergio Leone film meets Tolkien I guess.
Winnie-the-Pooh.

Dracula

Cast:
Ralph Fiennes as Count Dracula
Bryce Dallas Howard as Mina Murray-Harker
Hugh Dancy as Johnathan Harker
Brian Cox as Abraham Van Helsing
Paul Bettany as Dr. Jack Seward
Keira Knightley as Lucy Westenra
Brad Dourif as Renfield
Jude Law as Arthur Holmwood
Eric Bana as Quincey Morris

Music:
James Newton Howard

Animorphs
Chronicle of a Death Foretold

I'd looooove to make an Adventures of Barry Ween: Boy Genius animated movie.

I'd definitely like to fix the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy movie series by doing Life, The Universe and Everything (my personal favourite).

Almost any book in the Discworld series. Probably Eric.

I'd add On The Road, but I'm afraid no one anywhere can make justice to it.

And with the VFX of today, it'd be great. Better than the horrid show. :down
I've seen the first episode. It's so boring:(

The books are really interesting, and the film would work in the "Young, Angsty Heroes" movement we've got going on. Sadly, the limitations of television back then (and the fact that it was on Nickelodeon) hurt the series.
