Not really. All it has is a few seconds more of blood. Just a few squib shots that weren't in the regular version. I only got it because I have a widescreen TV and it is anamorphic.

I love this flick. In a guilty-pleasure sort of way. Dafoe owns this.

Classic style over sbustance movie. Decent acting (a brilliant performance by Dafoe), really cool directing, awesome action, a good sense of humor, lots of blood, cool music and oodles of style. It is a bit shallow but who cares when it is this entertaining.

Good movie, I thought. It was fun.

Scariest thing I've ever seen, though, Dafoe in drag with some guy grabbing a handful of his ass.

    ****ing scary ass ****, man.

I think that in the case of Boondock Saints, style IS the substance.

Without slow-motion this movie would probably be about 6 minutes shorter.

Has anyone seen Overnight, the documentary about the director of Boondock Saints, Troy Duffy? Very insightful and cautionary.

Wow, is he a jerk! As soon as they bought his script for Boondock Saints, he automatically became an ******* (or more of one, perhaps) and acted like he was the greatest thing in the world. He actually pretty much said the same thing several times throughout. He kept saying he and his band were shaking the world up, and that they were doing what no one else in history had ever done, and that his HIS film career was going to last a long time. Then you see how he really alienates everyone with his narcissm and huge ego.

If you want to see a true *****ebag in action, watch this doc. I actually thought about recommending this to a friend who has a much smaller scale ego problem and power trip syndrome. It seems like it would be a good intervention tool.

I get a lot of crap for this, especially being irish and having lived in Boston for two years, but I really don't like The Boondock Saints.

I think there's some interesting and quality stuff in the movie. Mainly coming from Willem Dafoe (when isn't he on his game?) and some other assorted moments. However, when all is said and done, the movie just plays to me like a high-end home movie that managed to get the Green Goblin, Young Indy, and the techie from Blade 2... It was poorly shot, edited, written, and directed. There are some decent performances that manage to save the film from being completely abysmal. But it's not enough to make me ever want to see it again.

Now you will receive us. We do not ask for your poor or your hungry. We do not want your tired and sick. It is your corrupt we claim. It is your evil that will be saught by us. With every breath we shall hunt them down. Each day we will spill their blood ‘til it rains down from the skies. Do not kill, do not rape, do not steal. These are principles, which every man of every faith can embrace. These are not polite suggestions, these are codes of behavior and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost. There are varying degrees of evil. We urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over into true corruption, into our domain. But if you do you, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three, and on that day, you will reap it. And we will send you to whatever god you wish.

And shepherds we shall be, for thee my Lord for thee, power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. We shall flow a river forth to thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.

    Hey Everyone!

O’kay, here’s the scoop. I know you’re impatient on the sequel. Not be long now, Daniel sahn! Long form contracts and business affairs can be very time consuming but we are close, so keep the faith. Also, we are simultaneously financing my follow up to BDSII, “The Good King.” There are a lot of logistics with this stuff and no one is more frustrated with it all than me. I want to get goin!
    Action! Cut! Moving on!

I have officially started working on my shot list and something I call my Boondock Bible. That’s how I’m keeping sane while the lawyers argue and wrap this **** up! I’ll get you guys back soon.

    Layta,
    T.Duff
