So... 2016. Yeah, this year has sucked a lot. I know a lot of people can't wait for 2016 to end, but I honestly wish it were somehow possible to stretch time so that 2017 and a Trump presidency would never see the light of day.

Anyway, as we say farewell and f**k you to a spectacularly sh**ty year, I'm curious which films were the worst of the worst this year. I posted a poll based on RT scores and overall discontent, but feel free to list other films that you thought were worse than these ones. For my money, the sh**tiest movie of the year had to be WARCRAFT. I couldn't get through an hour of that turd. Everything about it was garbage. Bad acting; bad writing; hacky, scattershot direction; and the FAKEST looking CGI creatures, landscapes and armor I've seen in a fantasy film since I don't know when. Even worse, it proved, yet again, that we will never ever ever ever ever see a good movie based on a video game. NEVER.

Other hopefuls for me include BvS, Suicide Squad and Independence Day: Resurgence.

Independence Day: Resurgence for sure. TMNT: Out of the Shadows was almost as bad.

Ugh. Forgot to include that one. I didn't see it, but if it was anything like the first one then I'm sure it was awful.

Suicide Squad, BvS, Gods of Egypt, Max Steel, and Zoolander 2

Kickboxer: Vengeance

Trust me bro when Van Damme is your best ACTOR in the film you know you've f'ed up.

Independence Day: Resurgence because it wasn't fun. How could you not make it fun?

BVS and SS.

I didn't not expect SS to be that damn low. I was expecting something that may have even been a bit better than what everyone was saying. But nope. I just don't get how two of the worst movies of the year for me were both two huge DC movies.

WB get your ****ing **** together. The box office isn't going to save you much longer.

Of the films I've seen:

Batman v Superman
Independence Day: Resurgence
Suicide Squad

Dirty Grandpa.

F***ing piece of unfunny horse dung.

Suicide Squad hurt me more than Batman V Superman.

From Leto really questionable performance to the music cues, it's just a mess. There are some highlights but not enough for me to recommend the film.

It's like a merging Boondock Saints 2 and a confused Juggalo adolescent.

recently saw gods of Egypt on tv my god it makes bvs and suicide squad look like oscar contenders

The Do Over
Dirty Grandpa
Zoolander 2
Gods of Egypt

Batman v Superman
Independence Day Resurgence
Ghostbusters
Zoolander 2
Warcraft
Suicide Squad
Gods of Egypt
Max Steel

That might be the best description of Suicide Squad I've heard yet.

Suicide Squad. Dumpster fire. One of the worst modern day comicbook movies.

I tried really hard to see the good in it. There is some (the turtles themselves), but literally every single other thing about the film is grade a garbage. Even my nephew hated it; when you have a seven year old in the prime of turtle mania say "that movie was bad", you know you screwed up.

Easily ID:R and Ghostbusters.

Yeah, I tried watching the first one a while back when it showed up on Netflix and I turned it off after about it hour. It was just an excruciating experience; the Turtles themselves weren't charming or funny at all and Megan Fox proved (once again) that she can't act. And now she's might play Poison Ivy. :cmad:

I'd go with ID4 2.

And Free State of Jones was actually really good.

Wow, I'm surprised more people haven't voted for Warcraft. As much as I hated ID, BvS and Suicide Squad, at least I was able to get all the way through those movies.

Trolls. I know I'm supposed to cut it slack for being an animated kids movie, but everything about it was pedantic.

You couldn't pay me to sit through Trolls.

Good God, I'm going to be such a horrible father if I ever have kids.

From what i've seen, my bottom 10: (from worst to least worst)
1.Ice Age 5
2.Ben-Hur
3.Alice Through the Looking Glass
4.Blair Witch
5.Independence Day: Resurgence
6.Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (ever)
7.Inferno
8.Suicide Squad
9.The Legend of Tarzan
10.Batman v Superman

Out of the movies I've seen, Independence Day: Resurgence, the theatrical cut of BvS and London Has Fallen.

Biggest disappointment of the year... Suicide Squad
