And dare I say that bringing back Hal Jordan with a big name writer is an extension of what started with Kevin Smith resurrecting Oliver Queen. Kevin Smith's run on Green Arrow elevated Oliver Queen to a top ten selling character from the cancelled Connor Hawke.

I think Green Arrow would be in a much better position if writers on par with Smith and Meltzer kept Green Arrow in top quality instead of Winick who overstayed his welcome when OYL hit and the horridness of Kreisberg's run on Green Arrow/Black Canary.
