This is a place to discuss movies with big budgets that just didn't make the cut at the box office.

Name a few you've seen and whether they deserve to a chance not.

I'll start with my favorite bomb, Scott pilgrim vs the World! That movie is so perfect.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, DB:Evolution. The worst. Just the worst.

Best: Night of the Hunter, John Carpenter's The Thing
Worst: The Tourist

Best (recent): Let Me In, Hugo, Dredd
Worst (recent): Green Lantern, Jonah Hex, DB: Evolution

I don't know, the film was terrible and made every one involved looked very bad. Especially considering the director made the wonderful Lives of Others prior, hasn't made a film since the tourist, I would consider the whole thing a big fail.

The Thing came out a week after E.T. There could not have been a worse release date.

True, but I believe the thread is about box office flops that were also bad films.

Unless we're talking strictly domestic, then Tourist would qualify.

Flop or not, The Tourist was a s*** with a capital wet fart.
