I've copied the idea of this thread from a boxoffice thread, because it's just too awesome to let it pass. t:

Knowing that The Avengers just SMASHED the domestic box office with mightiest $207M just after 3 days, with the news the movie's international box office just surpassed $700M and knowing that the word of mouth about this blockbuster infinity gem is heavenly, I can foresee that some Avengers SMASHING is required for the next weekend.

Here it's how it works: if you think the movie box-office will go beyond $100M in the next weekend, you place your user name in the In column, if you think it isn't surpassing the $100M barrier, place your user name in the Out column, betting how much you think the movie will truly make at box office over the 2nd weekend.

As good as the glowing WOM on The Avengers is, I don't think it'll have a light drop in its second weekend. Best case scenario, it drops 50-55%, which would even out to $100M-$105M. But a 60% drop isn't out of the equation either.

I guess you can put me in the 'In' column, since I think it will gross a little over $100M in its second weekend. The bad Twitter buzz on Dark Shadows and Battleship the week after will keep people coming back for more.
