Brave and the Bold Casting Thread

For the Earth? No. For DCU Batman? Probably.

I can’t imagine Gunn would ever go for a 22 year age gap between Superman and Batman. I’ve been hesitant enough just to suggest guys with eight years on David.
Yeah but on the other hand - rewatching mad men rn and no white man has ever had the aura that Hamm got on camera here - and that’s with him playing a largely sad, empty husk of a man. The perfect Bruce Wayne casting that never was (or maybe it was just so perfect that one of the juniors in s1 say that he might be Batman lol)

Bummer that all the best picks for this aged out (fassbender, gyllenhaal, hamm)

LOL I've only just started watching Mad Men for the first time over the last couple weeks. Currently about a third of the way through S3 and loving it. Yeah, Hamm would've killed it.

If it were up to me, Hamm would’ve been our post-Bale twenty-year-veteran Batman over Affleck, but the writing/direction wouldn’t have done him any favors either.
Same, and it seems like he truly dodged a bullet here...

You just got to the good stuff too! Late S3-4 was the show at its peak for me.

I do think he would have sold some of that hilariously nihilistic dialogue better though lol. Affleck can’t narrate or monologue to save his life.

I love Affleck in BvS and a lot of what makes it work is the fact it’s him specifically, but Hamm would have been something really special. All timer potential.

Hamm saying ‘Tell me, do you bleed?’ would have been hysterical. I can hear it.
