Anyone here Just LOVE the movie Brazil?

I do, it is one of my favorite films. The best part is how Realistic it is while seeming to be in a fictional world. The Buracratic paperwork, the torturing by the government and paying for it (which really happens in some places), the way the whole populas is supposed to act happy even though they aren't.
The way they are made to take pleasure in the Fashionable Consumption fed to them instead of what is important. Et Cetera.

Very much like in real life, so to is the reallity that life is what you make of it in your mind. People can escape in their mind in real life, it is called having an imagination and thinking for oneself. If you keep holding on to your will and what you believe governments nor anyone else can break your will.

As Jack says in the end "He's no good to us now, we lost him."

If you refuse to give in you can escape anybody and accomplish anything, if you keep your individuality and not conform.

Not to mention the way Technology can be used to control and delay, as well as help the populas.

Anyone else here just Love this movie?

Terry Gilliam WAS A GENIUS!!!

Excellent movie. Terry Gilliam genious its always fresh in almost every new movie. I love the dark end of the movie with the brazil music. And it was a very good story about future, fascist and corrupted society like in 1984.The visual style is poweful and the social parabole of the movie its just modern and brillaint at one time.

Easily, one of the best 80s films.

the dreaming and how it played into the story of the character was the best part IMO. we can all identify with the need to escape
