Breaking News: Osama Bin Laden Is Dead! - Part 4

Do you believe that Osama Bin Laden's killing was legal?

  • Yes

  • No

  • It honestly doesn't matter to me if it's legal or not. It's what needed to be done.

Ah didn't, dis account belongs to Sandy Wavebrush, my toupee.

MSNBC had this on their front-page.

US Official: AL Qaeda's No.2 killed in Pakistan

I got all excited that they nabbed Ayman Al-Zawahiri, but I forgot he's now no. 1.

Instead it's another guy we've never heard of. Remember a few years ago they were killing Al Qaeda's no.3 guy every other week? I guess now no.2 is the new no.3.

It really goes to show that the main al-Qaeda group is pretty much beaten now. I'd be more worried about the independent al-Qaeda affiliates such as al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and the al-Qaeda Organization in the Islamic Maghreb over the main al-Qaeda group.

AQAP? We've been killing those guys since 2003.

Sure, but we haven't gotten the bigwig Anwar al-Awlaki who inspired and may have given material support to the Fort Hood shooter, the "underwear bomber", the guy who tried to bomb Times Square and others. Hippie Hunter is exactly right here. Especially with Yemen's government about to completely break down, there is no bigger threat out there than al-Awlaki specifically and AQAP in general.

Yes, protecting American lives, particularly American troops, by not giving al-Qaeda a recruiting tool and a martyrdom rallying cry is sure wussy.

No comment on your other points, I will admit.

Bin Laden was actually killed off shortly after 9/11 since he was like oswald,a patsy who knew too much on who was really behind 9/11.The CIA and mossad orchestrated the attacks and brought the towers down with bombs.people are afraid and in denial about this but its true.

It's true, I tells ya! The men made from corn told me this during my last trip to the sunbeam station! THEY TRIED TO TAKE MY TEETH!

No. Shortly after 9/11 he was allowed passage through the mountains of Tora Bora and escaped into Pakistan. Remember he gave many a message to his people via video tape and even commented on the 2004 elections. That guy was important to the Bush Administration because he was the face of the enemy in the war on terror. If he was dead there was not reason for war and Bush couldn't succeed as a wartime president.

AQAP is in Yemen. You're thinking of Al Qaeda in Iraq.

No, he's not. The US has been assassinating Yemeni Al Qaeda leaders in drone attacks since 2002.

Also, WhiteRat should be banned. 9/11 conspiracies are always offensive, but his "Mossad was behind 9/11" crap is just thinly veiled anti-semitism.

CONSPIRACY!

None of those conspiracies have factual weight to them. The only way a conspiracy is possible is if the CIA paid off Osama Bin Laden to trick some young Muslims to conducting the attack for them and then keep him into some sort of protective secrecy like Witness Protect. Or they persuaded Bin Laden into creating the attacks and then killed him later.

I'm not saying there is a conspiracy, but america has went to great lengths to manipulate foriegn leaders and dictators to achieve a goal. Just look at the manipulation we employeed to trick Hitler into believing we were landing at another beach instead of Normandy. We practically inceptioned his ass into thinking his plans were his ideas. Its an interesting story. We had fake bases set up, false info out the ass, and even had fake ships. When it comes to mind ****ing someone America doesn't hold back.

^ I get your point but that was mainly Englands deal.

There was a conspiracy to invade Iraq, Yemen, and Libya, to destroy their oil infrastructure and booster the military-industrial complex by testing, building, and using new weapons and military technology. Too also rebuild countries and to establish pro-US governments.

According to the AP, the Obama Administration has filed a response to a "Freedom of Information Act" lawsuit saying that pictures of Osama Bin Laden's death must be kept secret.

Didn't know where to put this, but this seemed a good enough fit.

Yet another terrorist boogeyman bites the dust. Anwar al-Awlaki, leader of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, has been neutralized. And by "neutralized" I, of course, mean blown to crap. This guy was behind or inspired the Fort Hood shooter, the underwear bomber, the failed Times Square bomber and others. Since OBL's death he had been percieved as the most dangerous terrorist out there, moreso than al-Zawahiri. Well, now he gets to enjoy his 72 Star Trekkie virgins (yes, that old joke).

Yeah, I saw it on HuffPo this morning. You can't say that he isn't tough on terror.

Actually managing to get these guys is something that Obama has been doing very well.

Another on bites the dust. And another one gone and another one gone. Another one bites the dust.
