Worse than Adam Sandler and Eddie Murphy?

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000409/?ref_=nv_sr_1

That resume and upcoming release list does not look great at all. The first Mummy was alright, and that was about it.

Monkeybone? Mummy Returns? Journey to the...whatever whatever?

This guy used to be a big celeb, and he literally fell face flat off the earth. It's not like the guy made any stupid personal choices and ruined his career to the public, but good god, look at those movies.

Is there any chance we'll see a revival similar to Mickey or RDJ, or is he pretty much mummified?

His work in independent films has been decent. I doubt we'll ever see a huge comeback. Especially now that the mummy franchise will be rebooted

This looks like a job for either Nolan or Tarantino. They love putting semi-washed up actors in their movies. And Brendan Fraser isn't really a bad actor either.

I was thinking the exact same thing!

I think Fraser would really fit in a Taratino movie. It.......just fits?

Like I think Fraser has the chops to pull of a good role, he just needs a good writer to go hand in hand with that.

Also, does anyone find it funny that they took out the last King Kong ride out of Universal florida to replace it with the Mummy ride, and Fraser Circa 2003 is in the ride during footage and the end.

Seems like a dumb move by Universal because now that ride will be REALLY outdated when the Mummy reboot comes in, where as if they kept the King Kong ride in 2002, it still would of fitted in today.

If Bill and Ted 3 ever gets made, the next logical step is Encino Man 2. That is when we'll know we're living in the golden age of cinema.

He was pretty good in Scrubs. Played a good character.

He was great in With Honors and School Ties. I've heard he was also great in Gods and Monsters, though I haven't seen it. I think his problem was that he starred I too many stupid kids movies and dumb comedies.

Remember when he was the frontrunners for Superman? I still wonder how that would have turned out. He might have been able to pull it off, I don't know.

Encino Man 2??? All y'all are straight slackin! Bring back Sandler and Buscemi! Airheads 2 mother****er!!!

Seriously, Airheads 2 with them being washed up in their 40s. Make it happen Hollywood!

My favorite Brendan Fraser movie is Bedazzled. :woot:

some of his best movies are:

The Quiet American
Gods and Monsters
Blast From the Past
Crash

I don't know what happened either, he had The Mummy franchise and i remember him not coming back for the 4th due to chosing Journey 2 instead, and for some reason he dropped and was replaced by The Rock, he just stoped appearing in major productions after 2008 when his career was actually strong enough.

I'm not sure what happened to him post-2008, in that year he was stil someone who could bring in audiences, now after being absent so long i'm not sure he can return to his former glory, unless he appears in a very successful role.

I think Furry Vengeance killed his career

Me too, in a non-homosexual way:woot:

I like all the Mummy movies...even the turd. Uh, I mean third.
I despised the third film since I shockingly discovered Rachel Weisz was not in it! :o

Ridiculous.

Third Mummy film is along with X-Men Origins: Wolverine the perfect example of what happens when you make a movie out of the first draft of a script and don't try mending it.

I think he's a good adventure hero, and he did several such films in the previous decade.

What happened with his film William Tell that was supposed to be directed by Stephen Sommers?

Yes, for me, he will always be Rick O'Connell:woot:

Never heard of that movie. But it's probably cancelled:waa:
