Larry Rudolph chatted with Ryan Seacrest this morning, and Brit's longtime manager talked about Brit's show tonight, her nerves, and what fans can expect from the pop princess' much hyped comeback tour. Larry told Ryan, "You can expect spectacular - spectacularness - is that a word?" From what we've seen so far, it does look pretty spectacularish, so we'd say Larry hit that one right on the head!
Brit rehearsed twice yesterday, and Larry told Ryan that the second rehearsal went until 2 or 3 in the morning, but it was "amazing." The show is very fast paced and intense, and Larry said:
"[Britney] goes full speed through the whole thing...[the show is] about an hour and a half - pretty intense - there's only one time where it slows down - two ballads in the middle - but the rest is pretty fast. This is a full out, full blown, big Britney Spears show. It's a pop extravaganza. It is everything that everybody would expect from her and more."
When Ryan asked if Brit was nervous, Larry responded:
"Before these kinds of things she always has a little bit or nervous energy. But she has a way of channeling it. It's sort of like I've said to her sometimes, 'If you were on a football team and you were going to the Super Bowl, they would want you to be their quarterback.' Because when it comes to game day, no one brings it like she does. She's got that little bit of nervous energy and she just directs it into the most amazing show you can possibly imagine."
So what's the "game plan" for today?
"We're at the hotel right now. She'll probably sleep late today. She doesn't have her kids with her today. She'll probably sleep in until early afternoon, get up, have breakfast, probably go to the venue around 4 or 4:30, something like that. Go there, spend a little time and relax, then hair and makeup probably around 6 or 7 and then stage thereafter."
This is Brit's first time on tour as a mother, so what's that going to be like?
"I think the boys give her amazing inspiration and amazing strength, they really do. It's actually been a great thing watching her with them throughout this whole process."
The most talked about moment of the show?
"That's a tough one, because there are so many highlights of this thing...the costumes are unbelievable, people are just going to flip out from the costumes to the stage...we have a center stage and two side stages, so of course we have a three ring circus, it's just extraordinary, it's the biggest production out there."
