Bruce Campbell Talks Spider-Man 3

'Josh Look' wrote in about a Q&A held with Bruce Campbell on Friday in which he was asked about Spider-Man 3:

I had the honor to go to a Q&A session with Bruce Campbell on Friday night in Cambridge, MA. It wasn't long before someone popped the 'Spider-Man 3' question. Bruce said that he couldn't say much and was probably going to say too much, but he and Spidey will "team up." He also bragged that the snooty usher is the only person to ever defeat Spider-Man in the movies.

Later in the night, (with an enitrely different crowd) there was a screening of his film "Bubba Ho-Tep." He took more questions, and again Spidey 3 came up. This time, said that his role was "pivitol." Obviously a joke, but I'd be willing to be that he is definitely NOT Mysterio, as earlier rumors claimed.

Spider-Man 3 hits theaters on May 4, 2007.

We do this because not everybody checks the front board, because we know that whatever makes it to the main page ends up here, so we always just click on our favorties menu and then click spider-man 3 spoilers, and then we visist the threads with the new information and then specualte and argue.

we do it for the same reason you came here. To discuss Spider-Man 3. I hope I adequately answered your question.t:And I realize that newbs like yourself tend to not know what they are talking about so instead of telling you to go away or flaming you I will simply pity your stupidness.

Bruce Campbell is awesome, i love it when he talks spidey 3, or any spidey movie, because he always makes it like hes telling us EVERYTHING, when in reality everything hes saying isn't even close to what the movie is, i love it

for spidey 1 he said there wouldn't have been a spider-man movie without him since he was the one to name spider-man in the movie. then in spidey 2 he say's he defeats spider-man and is the only one to defeat him. now in spidey 3 he's saying he teams up with him...what crazy joke can he be coming up with this time around. how does raimi put up with him

Campbell is definitely playing Mysterio. I have a friend who just recently started work at a company that's doing merchandise for the film and he confirmed it.

Now something could happen between now and the release of the movie, so as of the last time i've talked to him, Campbell is playing Mysterio.

I read the report on the front page. The contributor of the report made the conclusion that Campbell isn't playing Mysterio. I had info from a friend of mine that disputes that fact. I decided to share said info. I believe him. It's up to the individual poster to believe what they want to believe.

Oh and just FYI, Arad also called comic book fans (X-men fans, but fans nonetheless), stupid, or something derogatory. There's also the inumerable times Arad (et al) dismissed fan reports as fabrication so that they can hold on to the spoilers of the films they were making at that time (which I can't really blame them for).

So, Arad really isn't someone to trust in this regard. well...you can if you want.

Yea I have a friend who knows a guy whose related to someone on the production team and they said no Mysterio. It is just all speculation until we see some proof. Not to belittle you or anything...but I don't believe any of this BS until I see some proof. There are more reports to their not being Mysterio anyways. I believe Arad over your buddy until you show me other wise.

But yeah, wasn't there like an article or something that debunked the rumour of Bruce playing Mysterio because he was playing a waiter?
