Bryan Fuller to remake The Munsters for NBC

Not so sure they'll want to dump Hannibal on Fridays yet, though. Not being as "quirky" as some of Fuller's other stuff, and being a type of crime show, that one could very well be a decent-sized mainstream draw.

^what she said

Mockingbird Lane I would be fine with on friday because it's survival as a possible series is anything but certain. Friday is better than nothing, just give us more!

Hannibal, however, has already been given a series order. We know it's going to happen, so it kind of deserves better than 10 pm on friday night.

I also just don't think it would provide for a good flow. Mockingbird Lane (quirky supernatural family dramedy) to Grimm (quirky supernatural cop procedural) to Hannibal (hopefully dark, graphic crime drama)... I could see alot of people saying "Alright, we've had our fun" and tune out at 10.

I want more. Please let NBC change their mind.

So I'll be downloading this and share my opinion of it later.

I do too. I'll be interested to see Fuller explore this world of monsters and see the actors really settle into the characters they're playing. I think Izzard's Grandpa and Charity Wakefield as Marilyn were pretty fully realized, but De Rossi and O'Connell could use a little work, even though they're off to a pretty good start.

So I just watched it. I was pleasantly surprised, it was great. Sadly I still don't see it becoming a series.

I am kind of surprised we havent heard anything from NBC yet. Hopefully we will by the beginning of November.

Long story. It was intended to be a pilot, NBC was unsure about the final product, decided to air it as a stand alone special, with an option to order more episodes if the numbers impressed them. And considering that it gave Grimm it's highest numbers since that show's pilot, and got the highest numbers of any scripted show in that timeslot in two years, all with only two weeks of barely there promotion... I'd say it was pretty impressive.

Just watched the pilot really hope it gets made into a series.

The Live +7 Day DVR info will be out next Monday if it landed in the top 25 in the three categories that are released.

Don't worry, that was 100% meant as a compliment. :yay:

You are a true sweetie....Flick.

I finally got chance to watch this on my DVR. It was funny and interesting. I can't say that I wouldn't want to see more episodes, but...idk....something was off about it.

I do feel like this show would have done better on cable. Sort of like the Monky of family comedy.

That's what I thought you meant... I'm not sure I see it.

I mean it's kind of different and quirky....not the normal family show and not quite suitable to regular TV...kind of like Monk.

So is this coming back to NBC soon?

it was a pilot that became a one-time special...

as of right now, there's been absolutely no word as to WHAT'S gonna happen with it...

my bet and guess is that it won't make it as a regular series... MAYBE as an every-so-often special, but I don't even see THAT happening... would require too much of a commitment from the five stars...

Or maybe NBC will see what's right in front of their ****ing faces. :o

If they were smart they would pick it up for a series and just do 12/13 episodes a season every halloween.

Supposedly the house is gone from the Universal lot. Shock Till You Drop retweeted somebody that said so. https://***********/TheBruceBabcock/status/273188883976564736

:(

I hope you burn for this, NBC

Yeah, that show that managed to actually get a rise out of Grimm with little to no promotion behind it? Who would want to see more of that?

****s.

So a show does well, and they decide to not pick it up. It's almost like NBC had their mind made up before it ever aired. :whatever: Stupid NBC.

I just don't understand the thought process behind this decision. Everything was so ****ing last minute that it's a minor miracle that the show did even half as well as it did. Idiots.

I agree, I think NBC made up their mind as soon as they saw that what Fuller had cooked up didn't match their preconceived notions about what "New Munsters" would look like.
