Does this mean we'll get Secret Wars or House of M? Like even in the event that the Beyonder (who's usually a Fantastic Four villain and a mutant to boot) is owned by Marvel Studios who are somehow able to use Ronan who usually fights the Fantastic Four in Guardians of the Galaxy (most likely due to Ms. Marvel's rights at Disney) Mojo could replace him in Secret Wars and if Scarlet Witch can't be used, then Phoenix - assuming she's resurrected post credits in DOFP - could also be a replacement character.

If they can't use either, than I guess it's Secret Invasion with Super Skrull as the villain or do an Onslaught movie.

Keep in mind that to the best of my knowledge, the Marvel properties that Fox is leasing are, X-Men (along with X-Factor, X-Force and New Mutants), Deadpool, Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer and Namor.

Are there any other storylines that have X-Men/Fantastic Four crossovers or are Secret Wars, Onslaught, Secret Invasion and House of M the only likely options?

I don't think they have Namor. Fox has said nothing about having the character and neither has Marvel Studios.

The best story to crossover X-Men and FF is Days of Future Present. It deals with the aftermath of Days of Future Past while also bringing in an adult Franklin Richards and Rachel Summers which brings in the Fantastic Four.

Maybe the ff will identify the real Phoenix thus bringing jean and Scott back to life?

I would watch that

Ah, I forgot about Pheonix Rising and Days of Future Present.

Also, Ahab does become a Horseman. I could see Apocalypse's full team consisting of Ahab, Frenzy, Angel and Gauntlet. All of them come from different incarnations of the Horsemen, including when they were the Dark Riders and Alliance of Evil. Keep in mind that I'd love to see the franchise evolve to build up to an adaptation of The Twelve.

Also, Phoenix Rising would help to explain Cable in the X-Force movie.

Didn't Universal use to have the rights to Namor? So i am sure the Namor rights are back at Marvel now. Plus there were a few Namor references in Iron Man 2 so I guess that confirms it.

He's part of the Fantastic Four rights.

He's part of the Fantastic Four rights.
Why would he be part of the FF rights? He wasn't introduced in FF and he's not a purely FF character. He's a singular character whose rights are separate than anyone else's. Namor was created before the Fantastic Four so it wouldn't make sense that his rights are tied into theirs.

Marvel Studios has said something about Namor and it's that they have him. There was even an easter egg for Atlantis in IM2.

Correct.

He's part of the Fantastic Four rights.
Wrong.

As for this, bad idea and Fox is going to do something that ****s it up for Marvel and DC to continue to do ensemble films.

How is this a bad idea? Secret Wars, Phoenix Rising and Secret Invasion are all remembered fondly.

Because they're only working with X-Men and Fantastic Four/Silver Surfer.

And them just trying to run behind and chase what Marvel is doing, with basically a poor man's version, doesn't inspire confidence in and of itself.

While I won't say it's a terrible idea, it all depends on how they do it. Give Matthew Vaughn, or someone with ensemble and comic experience, the reins for the film and pick a storyline that actually has the X-Men and FF teaming up and it could be okay. Give someone with little to no experience and try to force the two franchises in some non comic based story and you have a recipe for disaster.

With Mark Millar helping out it could actually turn out well. But that's only if FOX doesn't push their influence. We don't need another Dark Phoenix or Venom fiasco where the studio forced the storyline into the movie.

I don't trust Mark Millar either. From what I can tell the only guy who had a good idea in that circle jerk of their's was Jeff Wadlow and he's only on one movie that he wants to make.

I watched the YouTube clips of "Rated X: A Night with Bryan Singer". Given that the FF doesn't fit very well in the X-Universe he's created and his dismissal of Mark Millar's comments about merging the two separate character families, I don't think Singer was talking about the First Family. My guess is the "mash-up" he'll be proposing to FOX is Excalibur.

Except Excalibur isn't really doable. Marvel owns the Rights to Blade and presumably also owns Captain Britain, Pete Wisdom and Gloriana.

Also, Marvel can't do Excalibur either without Psylocke, Shadowcat and Nightcrawler. It's one of those properties like Alpha Flight and Starjammers that sits in a grey area that no studio can really use unless Marvel or Fox are willing to lease more characters for cash.
