Bullet Train (Brad Pitt)

Is it intentional that Sony just wants to reveal everything in their trailers?
If you don't see the whole movie how do you know it's good enough to see it? :o
Unknown product I am sure it is a book adaptation but most don't know the movie so the trailers have to show as much as to get people coming. Marvel and DC just don't have to show much and usually a bit of the 1st act in trailers because people know them and expect a good time for the most part.

Eh, there's a difference between "accurately communicating the movie in trailers" and "just showing the entire plot and all the major scenes". I think Sony's problem is that they have iffy storytelling skill, so they tend to think the best way to promote a movie is "Here is cool scene! And here! And here!" They don't treat the trailer as its own miniature artform, where the 2 minute film is supposed to tell its own story as a story.

It’s why I watch trailers less and less these days so I haven't watched this one either. The movie does look fun from what I have seen though.

I saw a trailer for this that really seemed to center on the Bad Bunny character. I’m pretty sure he’s only in this movie for like 10 minutes so I guess Sony is just hyping him up for that El Muerto movie they’re making.

Joey King at several events promoting the movie.

Reviews are just coming out...divisive so far :/

This was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the hell out of. Action was great, it was stylistic, and quite funny. Some points were a little OTT, but wasn't overly bothered save for something towards the end. Definitely one of my favorites of the year.

I totally forgot Michael Shannon was in this, so him being revealed as the White Death came as a surprise me.

Also, those two cameos were funny. Channing Tatum was a nice surprise, and the Ryan Reynolds joke was really good especially when considering the meta-ness of the joke.

Guess I’ll wait til video 2 hours seems way too long for a movie like this. It should be a tight 90 minutes so you leave them wanting more 1A481059-6241-4CAC-9682-D9C271F1B7DA.jpeg

This movie was a lot of fun, but it really coould've trimmed down 30 mins or so. 2 hours dragged a bit.

That being said, the last 20 mins were absolute bonkers and loved all of it.

The action was good, it did seem Tarantino inspired just based on the characters and interactions. I thought it was ok. The story was not as well done to me like I would have liked to be more involved as a viewer whenever they introduced a character or scene from the past example being the wedding stuff and Hornet stuff.Maybe if wasn't trying to be that kind of movie though and just fun.

from Tatum was the best.

Instituting a ban on the "quirky" action movies genre. It's over, it's done. No more. The back to back scripts of this and The Grey Man have done me in. We can try it again next decade.

Hmm, was The Gray Man really going for that quirky style? Seemed a bit more traditional, even though I found it very mid.

The opening conversation of that movie felt like it at least really wants you to think the movie is quirky, whether or not you ultimately find it to be. Fair enough if you disagree, but that was my takeaway and I recall feeling it peppered dialogue like that throughout, though with the opening the most obnoxious instance.

It definitely isn't on the level of this movie in regards to being "quirky," but they both ended up getting on my nerves in that regard. At least this movie has colour.

I think a better comparison would be like the Suicide Squad movies.
