Not wrong.I think a better comparison would be like the Suicide Squad movies.

It's doing well for itself financially and given how quiet the rest of the month is, strong word of mouth like this is gonna give it legs. It's part Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Smokin’ Aces, Seven Psychopaths, and Shoot 'Em Up all rolled into one.
I wouldn't be surprised if it got a small cult following in a couple of years.
A fairly entertaining movie. Good cast hamming it up. Aaron Taylor Johnson was particularly fun, and while I like Brian Tyree Henry in this too, his english accent was rubbish. Bit of a throwback to the post-Tarantino 'cool' crime story, but less smug than a Guy Ritchie film and has its moments.
Blows my mind this cost less than half of Gray Man's budget. What a waste that was.
You could tell this was cheap in parts, how much was the budget exactly?
Under $90 mil apparently.
I enjoyed this movie very much, especially the cast. I got to say though, does anyone else feel like between the two John wick 1 directors that Chad Stahelski is the better one. At least with the action anyway. All of David Leitch’s movies by himself have good action scenes but I feel like he goes for style way more when it comes to the camera and some of the edits where as Chad goes for as Hong Kong influenced as possible. I noticed it a little more when the John Wick 4 trailer played with this and Hiroyuki Sanada’s short fight clip in that was much clearer and wider than his fight in this movie, and it just had me thinking in general about the two. I still think the closest David has gotten to that style by himself was Atomic Blonde, especially the staircase fight.
Accents were dodgy but the slang was on point. This is probably the only Hollywood film I've seen with accurate contemporary slang. Most of the time they have any cockney type character saying "cor blimey guv'nor" type lingo.A fairly entertaining movie. Good cast hamming it up.
