that's not really the question is it? I already saw your responses to Max, and so we shall agree to disagree, however I will say this.

1.- do you Honestly think that Bush will listen to any logical point HE has to make, especially since he is in a military disadvantage when compared to the US.

2.- I don't think he stated this as Logical, it's rhetoric, I saw no one calling Bush a maniac when he said he had a "crusade" on his hands, dozens of other little statement that to anyone not in the US would seem well, weird.... to say the least, you called the Iranian president "arrogant" what do you think of a president that says "you're either with us, or against us"

pretty scary right?

Uhm...so are you and Max like a couple or something? LOL!!! (Couple of what I have no idea.. :p )

1. – If you don’t think Bush will listen to anything he has to say then WHY oh why do you want this debate? Seriously have you answered that?

2. – In times of war when the President is speaking to the countries that are supposedly our allies and he says "you're either with us, or against us" is a different arrogance than saying to the world for the heck of it that we need them more than they need us.

of course they hated clinton. this conflict has been going on since before any of us were even born. I'm saying that we should be adding water to the flame instead of gasoline.

I agree with you. We should be adding water. I do not think a debate will do that however.

This 'situation' with Iran is far dangerous than many realize (IMO)

Wow. you really DO think an "american".

you know, by your own logic, it SHOULD BE irrelevant what the world thinks about the leaders of other countries.

like, say....Iran.

just sayin'.

As long as Ahmadinejad is just talk, I really don't care what he thinks or whether he cares about the rest of the world.

my heart belongs to you only you rogue, manly internet politician you.

1.- simple, I want to see the "madman" talk, I wan't to see the calm leader of the "free world" react. I want it to be clear so that there's no "mistranslation" and so on. why is that so hard to understand.

2.- good arrogance?

And it certainly doesn't effect you that the rest of the Hype finds you annoying or that Americans debating American policy could care less what a Canadian thinks ;)

You're right, it really is irrelevant what the Hype thinks about me.

is not what he thinks, the reason you dislike him so?

I hate to say this to you, because I don't have any bad feelings about you as a person or anything like that. But that post is really, really, really, really stupid. Did you care what that those terrorists were thinking when they decided to fly planes into the WTC? They thought about it, and then they did it.

I only care about the fact that they did their act. I don't care if they had simply stewed in their rooms or whatever.

This is why terrorism needs to be defeated, even removing governments to defeat them, what they think about otherwise is irrelevant.

No, it's what he is willing and capable of doing that I dislike him so.

interesting. and if he does MORE than just talk?

War Lord said:
Then we squeeze his head until it pops.

so seriously though, you say as long as he just talks you're ok--world opinion shouldn't matter. but if he does something like, say, invades/attacks another nation without the support of the international community...THEN its ok for the world to have an opinion of him,and THEN their opinion should count?

Yes, he should debate him.

Let's face it, countries such as the US, or my own, the UK, are in no position to lecture other countries about developing and storing weapons of mass destruction. Why should they listen to us telling them to stop when we have plenty of our own?

Bush probably doesn't want to debate it because he suspects it will turn public opinion against him rather than in favour.

 he already has a platform. wouldn't a debate serve to project him as the evil nutty villian he is?

you guys are weird, sometimes you're all like "look the nut said something nutty! that prooves that he's a nut!!! and we must kill him!!! and provide ten thousand links to sites where indeed he says something nutty

but then, when the idea of a debate comes along "why would we want to give that nutty nutbag a chance to spread his nutballness?

 right.

You're my hero! Seriously.
