C. Thomas Howell (The Hitcher, Hidalgo, Southland) has made the announcement through his facebook (but he's profile is private...) and has written:

"I have just sign the deal for new Spider-Man's movie! I will start the work on January 25th [...]"

Who he will play? Nobody knows...For now!

Personally, I think Norman Osborn or perhaps J Jonah Jameson.

Very cool!,I've always thought he was kinda underrated and deserved bigger roles on the big screen,As for his character in this movie.....He don't really reminds me of any character in the Spidey universe except maybe JJ from that pic and I just assume it'll be a very small role anyway as a cop/teacher/school principle/Lizard's victim or something like that.

Agreed. He had done several B movies that didn't impress me lately....but his run on Southland showed he still has it.

JK Simmons can be topped easily. He was good but hardly defined the role.
