Cake request for 3-year-old Hitler namesake denied

Good grief. The whole "It's just a name! It doesn't mean anything racist or white supremacist!" claim just rings so hollow (especially in light of the names of their other children). Racists are so stupid. This entire family, including the children, should be sterilized.

I'm gonna call the CPS because this is child abuse.....

The area where this guy lives is northwest of me, probably 45 minutes to an hour and while it's New Jersey, it's kind of "inbred" over there.

This kid is gonna go through ****e all his life....wow

He says don't dwell on evil things that have happened in the past, yet somehow, this ******* thought it'd be a clever idea to name his child after one of the worst, most genocidal people in the history of the world?

The kids should be taken by the CPS, really. This is cruelty to children. He's effectively setting them up for hateful- and possibly painful- lives.

Adolf was one thing. Adding Hitler was over the line.

wow, those kids are going to have a hell of a time in school

Well, I don't fault the child for this because he obviously didn't name himself. And while the parents more than proved their incompetence by naming their child after Hitler, the store does have a responsibility to provide service to this customer and should be faulted for refusing to make this cake.

Imagine the faces of parents & fans in the stand if this kid chose to play sports later on.

Announcer: "Touchdown Adolf Hitler!"

 ... :cmad: ... ...

Businesses cannot refuse service based on race, color, religion or national origin under the Federal Civil Rights Act. The Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits businesses from denying service to disabled persons. States have passed their own laws as well.

Other than that, businesses can refuse services

No, and for the reason stated in Addendum's post.

But there is no legitimate reason for the store to refuse service to these customers.

"Oh, the name, it's HORRIBLE! The child is named after an evil dictator!"

I mean, seriously, that's it? These customers were willing to pay money for a cake, but were denied solely because the kid had a controversial name. The customers were not endangering the well-being of those store owners or putting the company at financial risk; in fact, they were benefiting the company by offering them money for a birthday cake.

If this case goes to court, the store should lose on those grounds. This is essentially discrimination.

The store will not be hurting for business because they refused to sell a birthday cake to parents that named their son after Hitler and another child Aryan Nation.

And it's not like there's only 1 store that sells birthday cakes.

The parents should be sent to a country where they have proper skin head nazis, like Bosnia or something. See how they like it.

They name their kid ADOLF HITLER (Campbell), one of, if not the most evil man in history, because they "like the name" and expect people to just deal with it?

No matter what they say about their personal beliefs or their kids future, this was not one of the smartest choices, and he's gonna be messed up.

agree, the guy a moron for naming his kid that, I hope the kid grow some balls and change it when he's 18

So is excluding other races from social and romantic relationships.

The kid should change his name to Mohammed El Shabazz or something once he's older

But if other people found out this company made a cake for "Adolf Hitler" the financial implications could be disastrous. I know i would never go to a baker who baked a cake for Hitler. :D

It's Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is owned by the Devil, so it's ok for them. They work together with Adolph.

This kid is only 3. Only he is old enough to attend school, he will REALLY start to hate his parents for giving him this viled name. I hope they will home-school him all the way through college because schools won't want to admit a student that named Adolf Hilter.
