It was an underwhelming stinger. The audience at my local cinema was silent. I doubt anyone not 'in the know' would have recognized who it was supposed to be without the "'Howard the Duck' created by..." credit after the scene.

Someone screamed in my theater, "F*** YEAH!!! HOWARD THE DUCK!!!". I found that more amusing over the actual end credits scene, but I still enjoyed the end credits scene.

Anyone who reads Marvel comics knows who Howard is, these are Marvel movies, who cares if the general public knows or doesn't know who Howard is, its nice to have an in joke, so to speak, just for us fans who appreciate all of Marvel and not just their movies.

I went in HOPING for a post-credits Avengers trailer (like we got with the first Captain America), but I was very pleased with what I got. It definitely fit the tone of the movie, IMO.

Its funny cause you see him earlier in the movie too. During the scene where they go see the collector, you can spot him in the background in one of the tubes. I spotted him and I was like "wait...is that Howard the Duck?" I wasnt 100% sure but then the post credits scene confirmed it anf i was so happy. Great after credits scene imo.

I liked it, it was a funny cameo scene. However, I hope it's like the shawarma scene and it doesn't develop further. I think he's a fine character, but I wouldn't be able to take seeing him fighting Thanos alongside The Avengers.

I went in hoping for this too, but, I was never a fan of Howard the Duck, so I left kind of like, "WTF, that was a disappointment!"

Phase 2 ending credit scenes have outright sucked for me. Only one that held any of interest was the CA2 with the twins.

I think people believed it would be like Lady Death, Thanos, and Nebula. I think someone posted a fake spoiler here hinting at that.

Personally, I like getting Howard the Duck even better.
