What's idiotic about a movie director claiming that he's unearth the body of Jesus? I'll break it down for you. And let me preface this by saying that I was raised Christian, but my belief in it is shaky at best. At this point in my life, I'm sort of leaning towards not believing in God, so that "blind faith" ace you've got up your sleeve won't work on me.

Want to know why this is idiotic? It's quite simple : there is no way to prove the identity of these corpses (skeletons, really). There is no DNA to compare it to, so there is no "proof" being offered here. Period.

Blind Faith is as stupid as blind ignorance.

The only reason we know anything of Jesus' supposed teachings is because we "revere" the Bible.
The Bible clearly (even in all the conflicting, contradictory Gospel accounts) says that Jesus rose from the dead and then ascended, leaving no physical remains.

So, that's why dudes''d get all aggro an' Hella mad.

The fact that what he's doing is so out of the ordinary and not worth it. Nothing will come of this. As I've said, we probably will never find out if Jesus really rose from the dead or if he is The Son Of A God and all of that. Cameron has very little proof backing him, it seems. As several people have stated, what good will DNA if he has nothing to compare it to.

Of course, all you Cameron kiss-asses and whatnot will continue to support this, but I choose to not to. Maybe if this was a trained scientist and not a film director, I'd give it a chance.

I honestly don't care who James Cameron is. All I know is that he directed Terminator 2 and was supposed to helm Spider-Man. Beyond that I know nothing of the man.

This is just something I find infinitely interesting and wish to see how it comes about.

and why is it that no one has the intelligence to suggest Cameron pay rolled a group of Archaeologists and scientist and the like?
