"Can my computer run GAME X?"

forgot all about this, but it'd be better posted in the PC section of Games.

True, though it could go either way, since it's a tech question. I'll post it there tomorrow.

Sticky it while you're at it, Drak. I keep forgetting apps like that exist.

it just told me i couldn't run Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich, yet i've had the game installed for ages and play it quite often

Does it push your system a lot or do you have to turn down the display settings to play it? Maybe it's looking for whether your system can run it at optimum settings...

Hmm. Weird. Sometimes games run okay but are doing slight damage to your hardware over time. I'm actually getting a new video card now because I'm pretty sure pushing my old one too hard playing Fallout 3 burned something out--but I played F3 for a good month or so before it actually conked out on me.

Thank god for dual 256MB SLI config gfx cards.

*Hugs his Alienware Laptop*

You could also add it to the free software FAQ made by another user. It's a nifty site, great way to benchmark your unit.

I'm switching to the 216-core GeForce GTX 260. I may get another one to run in SLI later on, since the 260 is already fairly cheap (about $200) but still nearly top-of-the-line.
