Namor?
Illyana?
Cloak?

What the hell has been going on with the X-Men recently? I haven't really read any X-Men stuff since Whedon's Astonishing X-Men run. I did read Messiah Complex and Messiah War. It's just been so long since I have read any X-titles consistently (with the exception of Old Man Logan and the above mentioned storylines). I used to read anything with an X on the cover, every month, but I am so far out of the loop. Most importantly of all, is it even worth getting back into? I mean, I read the The List: X-Men one-shot and if was a story about Namor. In fact, pretty much all of those one-shots haven't really delivered on anything except for when Hawkeye got arrested. I feel like Marvel made some huge deal about Osborn making his move, but nothing happens.

Namor and Cloak were part of Norman's Dark X-team in the recent Utopia arc which crossover with Dark Avengers. They along with Dagger defected and have now joined the X-men.

. Illyana was brought back in the Quest for Magik storyline in New X-men v2. Its kinda complicated but basically during HoM, Illyana briefly came back as part of the New X-men team in the altered 616 created by Scarlet Witch. When that spell was broken, Magik went away but Belasco sensed her presence and felt her among the New X-men kids. He created a powerful which brought her back from the remaining essences and memories of her from Limbo. She was in her demonic Darkchylde form without her soul. She left at the end of that to reclaim her soul and I beleive she got part of it back in the X-Infernus mini. She took a short trip to the future but returned in New Mutants 1 and has been with the X-men since

Thanks. I think I might just give up on the X-Men again. It sucks because that's all I used to read. People talk mad **** about the 90s these days, but 90s X-Men-related books were good stuff.

I agree. I think that the 90s had some of the best storylines and writing in X-men lore.

And that's about it. Marvel in the 90's was essentially All Mutants, All The Time. It was sickening.

That's the way we likes it over in this forum. If ya don't like it, you bes' be on your way, pardner.

While I'm undoubtedly more of a Sentinel supporter than an X-phile, I'm really more annoyed with the fact that the X-stuff is rarely ever integrated with the rest of the MU (similar to Gotham City and the greater DCU). The 90's were rife with that sort of stuff.

the X-men dont seem to be a part of the MU now
