Can we get some love for The Crow?

How did you come across it? I've tried to find it via a few bootleggers over the years and haven't gotten anything of course...

Ah, so you are one of the ones who saw it in the PPV days...

the crown wasnt that special, the sequals were even worse

Chalk me down as Someone who thought Salvation was underrated. Not great, but passable. More plot holes, but the love theme worked as strongly for me.

1. Anyone else read the comic? It hardly follows the same story, but it has the themes right.

2. I've heard mixed things about the TV show. How bad was it? Marc Dacascos is cool, but..I don't know.

I agree here. I liked Salvation.

Salvation wasn't terrible. They broke the formula of the first two films a bit, which I found interesting, but the acting and production values were pretty weak. I really didn't like the guy that played the Crow, nor did I like his short hair and make-up.

The TV show is loosely based on the original movie, with many of the same characters, but all played by different actors. It had it's moments, but was underwhelming overall. There were some cool episodes, though.

It seemed a lot better after I watched Wicked Prayer.

Well, that's a given. If they were smart, they would put together a great script, give a solid budget, and make another Crow movie. The formula works, and is still relevant today (it will always be).

Maybe they'll have a female lead for once.

I'll go along with that. I thought Fred Ward made a great badass (the lead cop). Might've come close to Michael Wincott from the first one if he had more screen time.

I actually used to run a Crow fansite a few years back. It's small and pretty bad, but I was going through yet another Crow-phase in my life and hope my site would be the next big thing.

I just found it and looked it over for the first time in maybe 3 or 4 years. None of the pictures work anymore or anything, but here it is: http://www.freewebs.com/thecrow_shadow/index.htm
