I've recently been experimenting with music and stuff in Ableton Live 8, and a lot of my friends are telling me that with my music I can actually go somewhere. Thing is Hype, I don' want to put all this work into these songs and gain nothing from it. For instance here's a track I made

So hype, if it's not good or anything, are there any suggestions for further improvement?

I can't view the video for some reason...

But you don't get into the music business for the money. There just isn't much money in it for the musicians. If you don't actually care about music and sharing your art with people, don't even try to get in the business. Besides, creating the songs is the TIP of the iceberg of the amount of work you have to do to be successful. If merely working on the songs is too much of a hassle (which you are already hinting that it is) then don't bother because there's more work involved than you'll ever be willing to do to make money for anyone, let alone yourself.

Thanks for the feedback :)

i've always said the dumbest thing a musician can do is to try to be famous. create music that is fun for you, and is satisfying for you to play. play it for others for the enjoyment of sharing it with them. if you dont find enough satisfaction in that to put a lot of hard work into your music, then its not a life for you. but if you choose to do that and along the way you happen to get famous, good for you.

Fixed your video for you. The only part that goes in between the

I agree with Motown. You make music for the sake of making music. "Going somewhere" is just an nice outcome. If you're intentions are not borne from a love of making music, you're wasting your time.

Are you a musician? Or are you just making random loops in Ableton? IMO, there is a huge difference between being a musician and making music, and being a guy in his basement using a program with random sounds and loops to try and make music. The biggest difference being that you can have 20 guys in the latter category, and all their tracks sound the same: its 4 or 5 loops that come in one at a time, layering on top of one another for 5 minutes.

If this is the style you're wanting to shoot for...don't settle for following every other guy. Be original and try to do something different, otherwise you'll get lost in the herd.
