Today at around 8pm EST It noticed the tickets are available for purchase. Just got mine for the Scotiabank theatre in Toronto, Thursday show at 11:30pm. The 7:30 showing is packed all the good seats are gone already lol

Woo! Thanks for the heads up. Was just looking on the Cineplex and IMAX sites the other day trying to find out if we could get tickets yet or not.

By the way, do NON 3D IMAX showings even exist? I love IMAX but not 3D. Unfortunately it seems that if you want to see a movie in other fancy formats (IMAX, Ultra AVX etc) it's implied that it will be 3D as well and I hate that.

Yep, just got my non 3D IMAX ticket today. It seems that's what Cineplex does. When they first release tickets for the big blockbusters they only reveal 3D showtimes to try to get people to spend more money if they're anxious to get their tickets.

I'm actually surprised I got mine 3 weeks in advance. Usually I can't even see non 3D showtimes for big movies until practically the day before the release, let alone be able to buy tickets. Then again, that's for normal theatres and not IMAX. They're still getting a ton of money for IMAX showings as it is so maybe they don't mind releasing non 3D tickets ahead of time.

Nice! How are you doing for IMAX theatres in your area? We've got 2 options here in Edmonton (Telus World of Science and Scotiabank Theatre at West Edmonton Mall). I'm personally seeing it at the Scotiabank Theatre!

OT: I saw Gravity in 3D at the Telus World of Science. That was pretty awesome.
