Captain America: Steve Rogers #5

IMO the best issue. The connection between our Hydra-Steve and CWII was really shocking for me. Holy ****!

It was Meh, for me.

I have been only collecting Captain America: Steve Rogers.

So I was lost on what was going on in this issue and it also moved too quick for me. I had to google search the CW II storyline to understand what issue #5 was talking about.

It was jarring for me. Too much exposition for me, in a series that already feels subplot-heavy, to enjoy as a stand-alone issue.

Definitely not the issue I would recommend new readers to start on.
