Captain Marvel Captain Marvel costume thread

No mohawk and no generic jumpsuit.

Something superheroic please.

Yeah, a variation of her current costume in the comics. Ditch the mask though, she doesn't need it.

I want a militarized version of this.

What do you mean by "militarized"? I don't want it to look like a generic SHIELD military jumpsuit. I prefer it not to look too military but more super heroic.

With a name like Captain Marvel, the main character still needs to be someone you can marvel at and not just yawn at for being yet another woman in a standard black/ navy blue jumpsuit.

This current uniform is just... perfection.

Something along the lines of her current uniform is what I would like to see.

I'd like to see her in her current costume except change the blue to black, no Mohawk but long hair, and give her thigh high boots like she had in her black costume (except now they'd be red). Also, mask, not helmet.

Maybe she could have a lightning bolt too instead of the starburst. After all, the Captain Marvel font looks a bit like lightning bolts.

I wouldn't mind some sort of costume that takes inspiration from both of the designs below, and creates a unique but reminiscent costume in its place.

That was the only thing I was going to add. The traditional lightning bolt wouldn't hurt. Otherwise, I tend to lean towards the modern costume.

Either way, the logo was clearly intended as a tribute to the lightning bolt. It might be the only one, though (who knows), but it's a nice touch.

Well I would rather it not be black but blue if they go with the modern costume, because black is overused in CBMs. If she does have black though, then at least break it up by letting her shoulders and armpits be bare.

I prefer the reverse colour scheme though, with the majority of her costume being red and having blue gloves and boots like her original costume.

There's only 1 viable option

- Boots much reach the knee

- Dark blue

- LINES!

- emphasis on shoulder pads, I think it looks better in gold than red

- NO MASK!! Unless they manage to make it look good.

I hate Carol and I'm bitter Monica will never get her chance to shine:cmad:, but I'm so happy for her movie. I'll be surprised if they manage to keep her hairstyle consistent :oldrazz:

That looks pretty good. I'd like a mask though. Black Canary's one in Arrow looked fine. It doesn't need to hide her identity. It's all for the aesthetic.

If I were a woman though, I'd wear the swimsuit costume. Doesn't need to expose her ass cheeks as I see plenty of swimsuits that don't. However swimsuits look really sleek and sporty.

Carol definitely needs the belt sash.

I was talking about this one

Guess I meant her cowl.

I like Captain Marvel's current costume. I think it is one of the best costumes out of every hero, but especially out of all of the prominent female heroes.

I wouldn't mind if it starts out as more of a formal/military dress air force uniform before eventually becoming a little more form-fitting, colourful and "superhero-ish" over time.

I don't want to see ample flesh on display. I don't want to see any kind of high heels or wedges on the boots. And I don't want to see her breasts and buttocks "enhanced" through copious padding.

I think Captain Marvel has to look instantly recognisable, and if they just go with black (other than her Warbird costume) instead of blue, it will just blend in with every other female in a black catsuit that has been on film. The black Warbird costume is striking because of the lightning bolt and stripper boots, but they're probably unlikely to go for that.

So as an alternative, she needs something very visually striking, and a red and blue with gold combination would be instantly eye catching, provided of course it is designed well.

Also, I think that they could give a nod to the thigh high boots without them actually being boots. It could just be part of her costume design. Iron Man's movie armours, if you look at them, have what look like the equivalent of thigh high boots. He never just has ankle ones. No-one thinks he's wearing thigh high boots though because it just looks all part of his armour.

So if it were designed carefully, Carol could still have the visual look of thigh high boots without them actually being so.

agreed, I want something iconic, same way Cap and Thor have iconic looks. She deserves it too, and its the best way to sell a character, u know, a superhero. Showing her with an iconic image, so the audience will end recognizing her with the years and the costume could end being as popular as the character. Thats marketing right there

Yeah let's NOT give her thigh-high stripper boots. They're stupid and in no way fit her character. Oh and I prefer short hair (just not in a Mohawk).

I thought Captain Marvel was a guy? Is this kinda like changing Spiderman to a latino?

I actually really like the Captain Marvel suit she wears now especially the mask. I'd love if they kept close to that design.

The original Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) died ages ago, so recently Captain America convinced Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers) that she should take the name for herself. She was a bit reluctant at first, but eventually agreed to it.
