I have not read Flemming's first novel Casino Royale and do not know who the villian or villians will be. The current confirmed villians are Le Chiffre(Mads Mikkelsen), and Mendel(Ludger Pistor)possibly a villian. No other villian news/casting has been officially released yet. Post here your thoughts on the villianous actors and their characters and add a couple of your favorite villians from Bond past.:bomb:

well you may want to edit your post as brocoli never wrote the bond books.that was a guy call IAN FLEMING.you know the guy at the begining of every film "in IAN FLEMING'S" "AS IAN FLEMING'S";)

Thanks! I am a huge bond fan and was looking at a lot of sites for research and I was reading something about Brocolli and put his name there. Thanks. That is all the current villian news I am aware of. I would like to see some kind of new/physically evil villian. I loved how all the movies have made a rememberable and unique villian. I personally want to see a villian with an artificial eye implant(after Bond takes out his old one) which would glow red. Seeing that in the dark would be creepy. I just hope all the baddies in Casion Royale aren't all wealthy Brits with a love of killing.

well it is hard to say how they are going to have the baddies. The picture i had of le chiffre in my mind from reading the book is nothing like the actor who is cast.So my guess is he will be more physical.the guy in the books to me is fat and greasy slimeball. But i do not think there will be any over the top villains like jaws any where near this film.

From what I read these will be the villains in Casino Royale.....

Main Villain
Le Chiffre-Mads Mikkelsen

Sub-villains
Alex Demitrios- Simon Abkarain
Mr.White-?
Steven Obanno- Issach De Bankole
Dryden-?
Fisher-?

Henchmen
Mullaka-Sebastien Foucan
Carlos-Claudio Santamaria
Kratt-Clemens Schick
Valenka-Ivana Milliecivic

It's not known if Ludger Pistor is playing a villain. All that is known is that his character, Mendel, will be a swiss banker.

Does anyone know if we have gotten any pics of the villians so far?

If anyone gets their hands on them, post them here!

This one kicks ash.

I just hope that Le Chiffe is an interesting villain. Luckly, this movie is adapted form an actual Bond novel, so that's a good start.

To me, there hasn't been an awesome villain some time. In the last 3 or 4 Bond movies, all of the villans have been generic.

I just hope that Le Chiffe is NOT TOO REAL. I know that the filmmakers want to make a more brutal and realistic film, but I hope that they don't go too far in that direction unless they want a Bourne clone.

Le Chiffe should be larger than life. Remember, Bond and his world has always been surrealistic with its touch of fantasy.

They can make Le Chiffe into a realistic 'terrorist'; if you make him too real than what's the point? This is not a political flick; this is suppose to be straight on "I want to have fun and get away from the reality BS that I have to go through" type of a movie.

You got that, and getting drunk. And both are good in my humble opinion!

Le Chiffre should make an interesting villain. In the Stax script review on IGN he is described as not as grotesque or cartoonish as Blofeld or Jaws but not quite mundane like villains Kristatos or Sanchez. He will have some physical oddites that make him a classic villain yet he is a character that you could belive exists in the real world.

Some other details about the Le Chiffre in the film. He is belived to be albanian, he was a private investment banker for Saddam Hussein but was thought to have been executed by Saddam shortly after the first gulf war, but it appears that he is still alive and kicking. He is a chess prodigy, mathemathical genius, and a poker playing savant.

I agree with you. There has not been an original bad @ss Bond villian in a while. I loved Fanke Jensenn's character in Goldeneye...a hot dominatrix! I deffinately hope this villian is evil and shows it. I also want a villian that can go toe to toe with Bond when they pull out fisticuffs. No terrorist crap...we get that enough on 24 each week.

Bond and Le Chiffre really only have 2 major confrontations. The card game and the torture scene. Bond never really gets to kick his ash. Just humiliate him at the card table.

That's it? Then again, the movie might differ my friend.

Quite right. I'm glad I read the book beforehand so I can see exactly what they've changed when I see the movie

I read the book to get ready for the movie hopefully it wont be bad.

They are obviously changing a bit of the book's story, as 007 barely lays a finger on his gun in the novel. And as we know, there is a fair share of action in this movie which probably comes from scenes they have created from scratch. I just hope it all fits in well with the original story.

I want to see a casino fight with poker tables exploding and chips going everywhere!

There will be alot of action in Casino Royale, but not like DAD, more along the lines of FRWL or OHMSS. In the the pre titles Bond will kill double agent Dryden and his contact Fisher. The fight with Fisher is said to be very "messy". There is the massive Madagascar sequence where Bond takes out Mullaka and various emmbassy personel. He will fight Carlos at MIA in a spectacular action scene and he gets into it with Kratt in a stairwell at the casino. I'm not sure of the details of the details but I've heard that Bond will have a physical confrontation with Le Chiffre.

Sounds interesting! If they do it right it should all tie in together nicely, complimenting the original story.

I hope there is a villian car chase as well. Gotta be, there is one in every bond movie!

Describe the chase please. I love car chases especially with guns and explosions. Who is Bond chasing or being chased by?

Vesper is "supposedly" kinddnapped by Le Chiffre and his henchmen and Bond has to give chase in his bently. That's from the novel. In the film Bond will be driving his aston martin dbs. Not sure if there will be guns or explosions because they weren't used in the novel, but it's pretty much certain they ahve uped the ante for the film.
