I'd say Sam Neil or Bruce Campbell
I'm with ya on half of it, and that's why I'm saying...Bruce should have the spot as Mysterio.
I like Bruce but I wouldn't want him making the role a complete joke...
But Mysterio isn't some sort of psychotic killer like Joker...lame...I Think he'd do good if they had him act kinda like joker

Meh, leave Campbell to cameos in the Spidey films not the BIG roles...well not like a psychotic killer kinda like he's just insane, Campbell can defanetly pull that off

He really impressed me with his voice act in Vendetta. We re going to need a good voice for Mysterio and Hugo definitely got that talent.
idk why but i feel maybe Bruce Willis would be a good mysterio
Mysterio for Sm5 ,nuff said
Mysterio needs to be a quality actor... and he shouldn't be a guy who is naturally suave and deep-voiced like Hugo Weaving or Sam Neill. The whole thing should be that Quentin Beck is essentially an neurotic, temperamental, and rash person; an average-looking or ugly nerd. The whole Mysterio thing, with it's artificially deepend voice, cool and controlled-manner of speaking, and debonair dress, is all a facade. It's an illusion, just like everything else he does. Even his illusions are all about control. He puts on the costume of a man who is in control, and uses his special effects powers for deception, to manipulate his environment into something he feels like he has control over, for the very reason that he feels like he has no control over his life. No one takes him seriously as an artist or a person, he is fired from his job as an SFX man, he's socially inept, he can't seem to manage his finances or his own volatile emotions... the Mysterio persona is a response to that.
Given that character analysis, I give you... Tim Robbins:

The whole Mysterio thing, with it's artificially deepend voice, cool and controlled-manner of speaking, and debonair dress (particularly if the costume is something similar to keith_v's absolutely sick Mysterio concept art), is all a facade. It's an illusion, just like everything else he does. Even his illusions are all about control. No one takes him seriously as an artist or a person, all his romantic advances are rejected, he is fired from his job as an SFX man, he's socially inept, he can't seem to manage his finances or his own volatile emotions... he's the ultimate loser. The Mysterio persona is a response to that.
