Love the Bilbo Baggins connection between Holm and Freeman, although my main discrepancy is that Alien was owned by 20th Century Fox.

I totally forgot that..
I was thinking about Nolan as director, so I instinctively went with WB and forgot that it was a Fox franchise.

O'toole, Eastwood, Brett, Cushing, Rigg, Caine, Shaw ,and Andrews all in one movie together would have been epic..
Even if it wasn't a Dracula film, that pedigree alone, enough would be worth checking the film out.

Cool stuff, and yeah Rick Jones would DEFINITELY be i the movie if they made it then. But I'm not sure about Plummer as Ross. Casting a revered British actor as a bull-headed US Army general feels like a miscast. Maybe Tom Skerritt, or even Clint Eastwood for me.

As Eddie Dean stated, Plummer is Canadian.

While I don't see him as a bull headed general , I could very much see Plummer closer to a manipulative ,egotistical, arrogant, and bossy U.S. General.
His role in the film Dreamscape comes to mind.

While it's hard to see him as a blowhard, I could certainly see him as a guy who'll do anything to achieve his objectives or what he thinks is best , even if it breaks his daughters heart.

I have trouble seeing Skerritt as Ross since he screams too much of a good guy to me.

Eastwood would be closer , though I'd still have trouble seeing him as General Ross.
Then again, I've only ever see him portray close to a villain character in an old Episode of Maverick.

But hey, Skerritt and Eastwood are great actors who elevate anything they're in , so if Eastwood or Skerritt replaced Plummer as Ross, it'd still be awesome.

I think he may have played someone British at one point.
He also had that sophisticated and erudite british vibe about him.

He usually didn't play American characters with alot of swagger and machismo . Star Trek 6 is probably one of the few roles I've seen him in in which he's really has alot of pomp , swagger, and bombast.

Alot of times ,he was more the intellectual, shifty, betray you with a grin, type of villain.
