Yea i really really hope it is a twist to keep big man's real identity secret a little while longer. If this is what they are doing then it is a much better and shocking reveal later when we and the characters learn it is foswell.
 
I really think Green Goblin is going to be a huge challenge for Spidey in this show. :up:

I think they will build up on The Green Goblin becoming Spidey's Number 1 Arch-Nemesis very similar to how tptb have done with Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor on "SMALLVILLE" . For the past 7 Years .

Yeah, I mean, Green Goblin and Spidey's conflicts became very personal in ASM Issue #39. So, I think we will see that development adapted into this show.

Well Yeah when The Goblin found out Parker was in fact Spidey . Things really got personal . Parker knew who Gobby was, But it went really dead on target .

As I said Raimi got a Bulleye with Defoe as Norman/Goblin arc in the first movie the whole dynamic between Peter & Norman (in the beginning ) then Spidey vs. Gobby to the climatic showdown at the end of the movie was magnificent .

Agreed, that's one of the reasons that the stories between Spidey and Green Goblin are on my list of favorite Spidey stories. :up:

Spiddey vs. Green Goblin truly is my favorite battle Spidey's had, even though Venom is my favorite Villian. Anyway, let's get back on topic. :up:
 
spidey and goblin is one for me and TDK vs the joker is number two.
super man vs lex luthor isn't even on my list(unless u count the Smallville version)
 
I am absolutely thrilled to read that they will be going back to the original goblin roots from the comics. I prefer that origin the best, and I can't wait to see how it plays out in the Spectacular Spider-Man.
 
Well reading that summary makes the two week wait even more difficult. :csad:

You're right. I forgot about those! I was gonna watch the repeats anyways (loved seeing the Electro ep again) but now I'm stoked for the promo! Hopefully we'll be able to hear the Goblin laugh in the promo, though that could just make waiting even more difficult.

terrible argument. Montana had been on screen for 1 minute max before the shocker episode and all he did was talk in a southern accent and fly a helicopter, that isn't character development. Introducing Herman, which they didn't even need to do, they could have just said here's shocker and left his identity secret or w/e. anyway character development is no issue for why Montana was shocker
